I heard in another thread about saveing the game, even thoug it dose not relluy need saveing.

In part of it they meation a main quest.

My Idea is that you let people chose life goals at the begain of the game instaed of a main quest.  They would chose what there chater wants to active.  These goals may change as the paly thoug.  Or be given rendomly like when some hits the path botton on the chater cration page.

Here is a list of life goals that may be chosen.

owning a bussness
becomeing a fitgter or knigt
owning a bakerly
becomeing a merachnit
Owning a aromerly
Or other goals they may have.

Add on more if you can think of any.

Why should I speak, if no one speaks?  Why should I approach, if no one approaches?  Why should I hear, if no one hears?

Why should this be chosen through a menu, and not through your character\'s actions in-game? What if a character will want to change his or her goal later? What if he or she wants multiple goals? What if he or she wants none at all?

I don\'t see the need for it, personally :)

Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Choosing goals would mean you\'d be limited, no uniqueiveness (not a word) so I\'d rather stick with what it is now.

I sayed that they could be change as you want on.  I did not say prantly.  Also they would be change by your actions and you would be alble to change them at any time.  You do not have to chose a goal, like you don\'t have to chose a pase evnets.

This would be to help the newbes  rolypaly better if they have no idea whet they want to do.

I believe that there was an idea somewhere for starting  quests. For example you choose to start as a fighter, you get a few items and a quest aimed at giving you a jump start in that field.

hmm was thinking of something else when I read the threadsname, but will give my opinion anyhow ;)

Think it would be a good idea to be able to say what your goal is at the moment of creating and give the player a little start in that. As mentioned before you can get PP mining but yu still need to fight first to be able to and think something like this would be a good thing to have true miners or crafters or whatever we are going to have.

As for a goal further ingame I feel thats more done by roleplaying.

Do feeel there should be a line in the quests though that do relate with what you are. Like quests they only ask you for if you have some fame in fighting or some fame in blacksmithing.

Choren, I am having difficulty reading your posts. You may be cruisin though at 120 words per minute (to my sixteen WPM) but please (please please) double-check your posts for typos. Thanks!
