GGGGRRRRR!!! stop playing with our weapons!!
« on: February 05, 2006, 07:20:00 pm »
Im\' quite hungry! (excuse me for the english)
1st I had one claymore sl 64 and a BS sl 54; u delete them last week. So I had to loot to find new weapons (ans pay). Today u have do it again!!! So could u definitely choose weapons which are allowed cause it cost lost of time and money each time u do that.
After, U could give trias to player whom u delete weapons in order taht they can re-equip themselves!

Scuse if I\'m a little bit grumpy but those weapon wipes are very expensive for all players!

bye

tester first, player second.

it sucks. yes. anything you can do about it nope. just be glad it was just weapons and not a total wipe.

Well as much as it might have been a pain for you, think about it. There might be a reason this has happened. I admit I wasn\'t to pleased when I found out all my weapons were gone. But what if they are implementing  new things, and they need to wipe the weapons for this reason. Or maybe they just wanted to get rid of the ulber weapons, to make it fair to all players. Whatever the reason they have the right to do it and we have no say on the matter. As steuben said tester first, player second. Keep that in mind and you might not get so angry when the real wipe happens.......
I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

All weapons with more then 10 slash have been removed. With the new methods of calculating damage it was decided that they were too powerful. If you want my opinion things seem better balanced now.
<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place

that\'s what i figured caused the weapons wipe.

Why not just change the slash value of the weapons, or at least post
an MOTD saying what\'s going on.  A little politeness would make a big difference between keeping testers part of a happy community vs. pissing them off.

There are (were) over 5000 weapon variations. I don\'t think simply changing the slash is an effective method to use.

Players have been given warnings - there are sticky threads, there was a server MOTD, there were news that a wipe will happen on the news page, though granted it wasn\'t posted recently.

The point is that you are playing a game in very early development, when things are the least stable. Should the devs inform you of everything that\'s going to happen, ever, and wait until you\'re all comfortable with it before proceeding with further developments? That\'s slowing things down quite a bit. Perhaps when we\'re closer to Beta stage, the developers will take more time to announce great changes before they happen, but this particular weapon wipe has been discussed to the death.

Please try to deal with it as best as you can, and remember - you\'re only paying with your time.

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Everyone was told there would be item wipes months ago.  You knew this was coming.  Every weapon over 10 slash was a bug.  Everyone knew the psychotic weaponry wasn\'t intended, as they negated the need for much of the stats/skills part of the game, and were obviously overpowered.  (and the shop owners were fully aware that they were a \"black\" market for the time being)  The system was redesigned to fix many issues, so the old glitched ones were deleted.  There is nothing evil or secret here.  If this pisses you off, you need to get your ego in check.
