[RP] The Daughter of Laanx
« on: February 05, 2006, 08:24:00 pm »
[Mitaki Naru]

\"I found a note on the ground a few days ago outside of the Laanx Temple. I read it, but I did not believe what it said. I left the note back where I found it, so that other people may read it...but, why did this person leave it there? Also, who is she trying to fool? Laanx couldn\'t have possibly had a daughter...but if she did, then this person\'s life is a great mystery...I cannot figure out what she is trying to accomplish by coming to Hydlaa, but I will read the note once more, for those interested.\"

My mother Laanx was a great ruler. She had created the Lemur, and had many followers. One day, she had fallen in love with one of her own creations, and thus I was born. My mother wanted me to live among the Lemur as one of them, so that I could help them out when they needed it. I did not know what she meant by that, but if people asked me for help, or looked in need of attention, I would do what I could.

My mother and I were very close to eachother, she had done whatever she could to keep me happy. But, that did not last for long...Talad had decided that he should be able to create life, too, and he used the power of the Crystal. He did not know what he was doing, and instead of creating life, he had destroyed my mother\'s beauty with a devilish power, and created some kind of stone creature...they are now called Kran.

My mother had never spoken to me since, and I was forced to live on my own, only being guided by my friends. The only problem was, that my friends would soon pass away due to old age. Because I was the daughter of Laanx, my life as a Lemur was eternal, I could not die...it was horrible. I watched all my friends pass away, and I was truly alone in this world, only being able to speak with the sons and daughters of my old friends.

The time had finally come where I had to speak to my mother, even if she was too ashamed to show her face. I had heard of a temple built by my mother\'s followers in her honor in Hydlaa, and I had to go see if I could speak with her there. I could not...so I am writing this note. Please, if there is some way you can speak with my mother, through prayer or other practices, tell me...my name is Lumani.

I\'m glad that several people never run out of good ideas. So I will be happy to offer my help here, if I can. 8)

[Sangwa Raumo]

Sangwa listens to Mitaki\'s words and thinks to himself how someone he knows would find them interesting.
He heads towards an alley, disappearing.

Disclaimer: This is my opinion and I can be reasoned with. I'm probably right, though.

[Thormor Veneficus]

As each dawn, the Cleric of the DarkEmpire was in the direction of the temple of Laanx in Hydlaa to make his prayer of the day. At the entry of the temple a paper attract his attention and he goes read it. A smile appeared in his face but disapears in the end.

He thinks to himself : Our mother... Laanx is the mother of our race. Is she another crazy girl that thinks she is a half-godess? Laanx, mother,  wouldn\'t let this happen, letting someone spread a rumor that she is her daughter.

I will do as I can to help this one.

[Sengus]

Sengus is practising a martial arts choreography in his own little grassfield in the outskirts of Hydlaa, when he suddenly senses the presense of a person standing behind him. He quickly covers his face with one hand and reaches for his mask strapped to his belt with the other. He puts the mask over his face and quickly turns around to face...Sangwa.
Sengus sighs in relief and chuckles a little while approaching the Enkidukai.

\"Sangwa, you old rogue, have I not told you not to play tricks on me?\"

Sengus taps his friend on the shoulder, like he always does, and then sits down on a nearby bench, still exhausted from the choreography.

\"So what brings you here, friend?\"

He listens carefully as Sangwa tells him everything about the letter, Mitaki and then finally about Laanx\' daughter. Sengus turns his head towards the ground and shakes his head a little.

\"It cannot be....If Laanx had a daughter, why would she not have told me?\"

Sengus thinks for a while more and then presses his hands against his knees to help himself up.

\"Whether it be true or not, I need to investigate in the matter. I will not tolerate somebody befouling Laanx name like that...\"

Sengus walks over to Sangwa again and places his hand on his shoulder.

\"My friend, will you accompany me to the temple?\"

\"I checked back at the Laanx Temple, and the note has disappeared. Someone must have picked it up.\"

[Isra]

Isra was in the arena  , observing some wariors and gladiators fighting eachother , considering joining the fight himself when he suddenly noticed an young looking Lemuri woman staring at him from only a few feet away . She looked upset , depressed and....so frail , she had no weapons that Isra could see , very strange indeed for someone to wonder in the arena unarmed and unarmored . But Isra has learned that apperances can be deciving , and that there are those that can kill whit a taught , focusing on a glyph or whit bare hands much more efective than an warior whit his swords and axes .

\"My lady , my name is Isra , I`m one of the Rangers of Yliakum , can I...help you?\"

The woman kept staring at him and the tatoo vizible on his chest , picturing the Godess Laanx dead , a remain from his dark past

\"You.....you want my mother dead ? Why ?

Isra felt a shiver , and prepared his blades while looking the young woman in the eyes , hoping she was just another fanatic , like the ones who call the sewers there home

\"You...considder Laanx to be yur mother?..I understand that she...it created the Lemuri but...\"

\"No ! Laanx Is my mother!\"

Isra pointed his sword at the young woman`s throat , he had a way of dealing whit fanatics

\"Laanx is no god , It is nothing more than an arogant creature\"

The glyphs on Isra`s body , marks of Vodul`s power and signs of the pure ynnwn began to glow

\"You...you...I taught that perhaps the Rangers could help me , I taught you would understand , Thyme spoke so highly of you...I see I was wrong\"

The young woman vanished before Isra could answer her or slay her . Her name was Lumani..

{There is a stranger in Yliakum--who having overheard talk of new found history, and this daughter of Laanx--was curious to find out more of these things.
He prayed me for information, so that perhaps he can meet this \"Lumani.\" If she resides in Yliakum.
Whatever I find out, I will of course pass on to him.}
