Please fix the stamina problem.

My stamina drains for no reason at all, cant move and not gaining any new. have to log out. Bur when I login I get:

\"Your character Ehasara) was still in combat or casting a spell when you disconnected. Please wait for combat to finish and try again.\"

And I was not. Im not alone to have this problem.

Any help with this should be fine.
I just cant play anymore............................

As far I know, GM kicked you character and you should be able to login again. If not, let us know or join the #planeshift IRC channel. GMs are usually there and you can ask them for a help.

Both are bugs, stamina problem is known for a while and the login issue is a new bug introduced few days ago. Remember, this is a technical demo where we are actually testing the game and many things can be wrong.

A variation of the stamina problem:

I was running along the road to Ojaveda. During that time, the server was not responding, so even when I halted, it drained further. After several minutes, suddenly some monsters appeared around me, and I was attacked. But I had no stamina to fight back or run away. Fortunately, it was only a clacker...

Timeouts of several minutes are rather usual now, I\'m afraid. So if you are experiencing lost sentences in the mesage window, try to get to a \"safe place\" and wait for the server to return - or crash eventually.

Im aware that this is a beta/demo. I was just wondering becouse it happens to my character so frequent. 4 times today, 3 yesterday.

Anyway, good to know that its not my client.
Did check my log and notice that I recive a lot of DR packets for no reason at all.
If any use for debug pleae let me know.

Sorry I did miss the IRC channel, gone start using that.

The combat bug is not related to stamina, as far as I know. But I do know a bit about he stamina problems. I think that what happens is due to server lag or some other problem that is imppossible to simply reproduce, the server does not send all the movement messages to the client. So it tells you that you started moving, but not that you stoped. This means you keep draining after you are done, but, only on your client\'s display. I was able to reproduce this in a different case, that my client thought I was out of stamina so it would not let me move. I am considering ways to fix this, but it needs to balanced with cheat protection.

Got DR message for unknown entity 250.
Got DR message for unknown entity 640.
(again and again with different entity numbers ofcourse.)

 Doesnt matter where I stand or what I do can be standing alone at Harnqvist:-)
I also have the \"lag version\" sometimes, but that I can see it on srceen and the log looks normal.

These messages are not related to the stamina problem. They are usually harmless and caused by the lag except when you have some \"invisible\" characters as reported in the Bug #1451

I experience stamina problems only with my \"current\" client. The version built from CVS sources (call it a pre 0.3.013 version) never has such problems, so I guess some changes in the sources fixed the issue. If the stamina problem comes back with the new version, then it is worth investigating again.

Intresting about the new client 0.3.013.
Im on Os x and some movement doesnt work yet and I cant spot the problem.
So I have to wait before I compile a new one again.....

This is out of topic, but do you have any idea about this:

My log is full of them.

You can see combat events for other characters in close proximity like:

\"Rambo hits Rat, but fails to do any damage\"

For that your client has to be aware that there is a Rambo and also a Rat. If your client does not know them or one of them, you get the \"NULL Attacker or Target combat event sent to client\".

Possible reasons: network lag, lost network packets etc.
