problem running Planeshift
« on: February 17, 2006, 06:52:44 pm »
ok,

I installed the game using the file PlaneShift_CBV0.3.011.linux.x86-2, then i removed all files and folders except art. Then I used the installer PlaneShift_CBV0.3.012P-r2.i686. But now when i run updater and it gives something like :

[ultrix@zt3000 planeshift]$ ./updater
./updater.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

and psclient gives:

[ultrix@zt3000 planeshift]$ ./psclient
./psclient.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libsmpeg-0.4.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any solution for my problem?

tks in advance

Pedro Almeida

ok i managed to run psclient, I used yum to install smpeg.
But updater no luck.

Now in game I can\'t connect to the server, it  gives failed to connect. I have udp port number 7777 on my router pointed to my private ip, and my firewall is down.

you also need to add the R4 patch for updater.bin psclient.bin and pssetup.bin available from Here and then run the updater. Also you may want to check /data/server.xml and make sure that the port is also 7777
