I agree that there should be a place for nonsensical stuff, and Karyuu, I\'m not fond of those word game threads, but truth is, they liven the place and create a nicer comunity. If someone isn\'t interested in them, as myself, they will just not take part on them. Goin off topic on a thread and rambling nonsense is something I disagree with though, if you have something to argue that is irrelevant to the thread youre posting on, there\'s PM available, and if theres three or more people involved, just feel free to open a new thread, where you will be able to ramble on without being disturbed, and without disturbing anyone.
Im not complaining about any particular ramblings, since I\'m  rather new here, and wouldn\'t know how offten it occurs, I\'m just stating my position on the matter, which is: Post everything you want, as long as you post on the right place, and you don\'t insult or spam.

Celebrimor: There has been a suggestion for a \"Forum Games\" section, but it was under the condition that post counts do not rise in there - and I\'ve no idea if this is something these boards are capable of at all. Moreover I\'d have no desire at all to moderate such a section and weed through the hundreds of game-posts that no doubt would be posted daily. If anyone wants to host a \"Game\" forum where people can play word games or sink even lower, they\'re free to - and I\'ll sticky a link in Hydlaa Plaza myself :]

However, these being the official forums, I would hope that even an off-topic section maintains some degree of quality regardless.

well most forums I\'ve been too have a spam section and for me that is where I usauly are. If you want to see what some of the forums I\'ve been too visit google and type in my web name I\"m the only nightstalian around, in fact I\'ll be happy to mod for it if this forum makes one

Karyuu: I see your point, and it does add some extra work to a mod to keep track of problems in long threads, and game threads tend to be way long. If anyone wants to open a Games Forum, there are plenty of places to do so without more than basic computer/internet knowledge. They are free, and easy to use. Here are some I know, but Im sure there\'s plenty more:

Houlen, if it\'s really becoming annoying, just ignore. Anyway, for what ive seen so far, I think Zanzibar is more of a joker than a mean person, so I\'m fairly sure he meant no harm. Either way, youre better off ignoring him, or simply sending him a PM telling him what bothers you. Every problem has a solution as long as theres comunication.

That actually would be so cool :) For all the suggestions made in the past, no one actually went through with them and made another forum for (further) idle chit-chat. It would be quite nice to have non-PlaneShift topics in Hydlaa Plaza of a slightly higher quality, but also give those who want to rant without the majority listening a channel to do so at the same time.

So by all means, someone - create a forum, set up some rules (avoid using the PlaneShift logo without Talad\'s permission though, he tends to dislike that), and give me a link :]

When Hydlaa Plaza was first created, it was due to an overabundance of \"spam\" topics in other sections. Now it seems as though that \"spam\" can overflow in here as well. Again, I urge you to look around previous threads extending as far back as you can, to get the feel for things. I\'m already a lot more lenient with what\'s allowed than Mogs was, and I\'m not prepared to take on an \"anything goes\" attitude.

Moreover, this entire issue came about through your previously made thread, which you know no longer had any point until Kerol replied. How you can deny this is honestly beyond me. Why are birthday threads locked after a time, or goodbye threads? Because there is nothing more to say after a while, because people repeat themselves, because a thread has served its purpose and more input isn\'t necessary, etc., even though these are in the Hydlaa Plaza sections. You didn\'t have a discussion going, even - no one did in that thread.
