Killed by duel invitations?
« on: February 25, 2006, 02:08:21 am »
While I haven\'t actually encountered this problem, and am too cowardly to do so, I have read many complaints in the Forums about people getting killed unjustly when they invited someone to a duel. Why/how do duel invitations kill people? And if they were to invite me, I\'d decline, not to be rude or wish them dead, but because I\'m a coward. And shouldn\'t you be able to duel continually in places such as the Arena? And what about bar room brawls? I\'m just saying there are RP reasons to duel many people within a very short time, and what if they all deny? I just did a search, and all I got was DaveG and Zanzibar getting thouroughly ticked off at each other, Dave rejecting a perfectly good, perfectly logical idea, and Zanz not taking no for an answer. I would have posted all this in a reply to that, but somebody locked the thread. I suggest when a duel screen pops up you should have the option to decline but not punish the person who invited you to the duel.

I will say this only one more time:

Use your words, not the invite system.  You should not be doing a /challenge on anyone who is going to click decline.  If you don\'t ask, it constitues spam, and the system is designed to stop that.
