If you cannot enter sewers...

Due to a mistake, there is a wrong zoneinfo.xml in 0.3.013 release. Please use this one until the updater is ready.

Soon the updater will have the right file, so updating will be enough.

Until then, unzip this file in PS\\data dir:

0.3.013_zoneinfo.zip

You need to have an application like winzip or winrar or similar. Google for them, you\'ll find some downloads :>

I\'m having trouble.  I have winzip and I downloaded the package but it didn\'t work. I downloaded it again but it didn\'t work so I \"fell off the end of the world and died\" for the second time today because of it.

Is this something on my end or does the packet not work for everyone?

The zip only contains zoneinfo.xml, which you can now also get through your updater.

I\'m having many problems with the latest update (2/25/06).  After manually downloading the update file I was able to get the new update, but the arena map was completely dark.  Kerol suggested I use the -fullbright switch which gave me a kaleidoscopic view of everything.  (nVidia GeForce 6600 on WinXP)  Later when I died, I was stuck in the constant loop of falling and dying in the DR.  I tried /unstick, and I tried /die, to no avail.  I tried updating zoneinfo.xml detailed in this thread with no change in the dying loop. Thankfully Kerol was still online and I was able to send him a tell between deaths asking him to relocate me which he did.

In the 2 hours I was on, I was disconnected frequently and would usually error when loading again.  I ran the updater again and received a message that the libmng-cs.dll file failed.

But I wouldn\'t get it for now. Something\'s wrong with the updater.
The fact that you point out that issue on the DR is extremely important, as I think that is caused because you still have the \"old\" DR map. That\'s very interesting, since it can show that the new updater doesn\'t recognize that your DR is old and it\'s supposed to be downloaded to update.

What you can try to do?

here there is the new updater version. Extract the files to your planeshift directory and try to use the updater again.
Before doing that, ensure that your updater version _isn\'t_ 1.1, if it is, this step is unnecessary.

The new updater seems to lack maps, and for the world folder only has new sound attributes and a new lighting file. Perhaps it\'s necessary to upload the _whole_ maps in order to get the updater running again.

I did say in my first paragraph that I had to manually download the updater and I am now on 1.1.  Your comment about not downloading the proper world maps makes sense.  How do I make the updater give me the world files?  Is there a file(s) on my hard drive I delete which will make the updater send me a fresh copy?

Hi

Regarding the new zoneinfo file, I still cannot enter the sewers... I get the same error.

I run the Linux client (both the patch release Xordan made, and from CVS).

Help?

Delete the zoneinfo.xml then run the update. But if you have to use the noSSE2 files just keep it save before update, then put it back there.
