Interesting things at your school
« on: February 26, 2006, 05:08:40 am »
Well this obviously doesn\'t apply to universities since places like Harvard have had 10000000 interesting things happen.

I just found out The Doors played live at my school before and they actually signed one of the doors at my school.
Retards painted over it.........

So anything happen at your schools that are interesting?

We had a camel on campus once. I don\'t know why. But it was there, in a pen, just standing around. Now as you may know, camels aren\'t native to southern California - so it was indeed a very intriguing sight.

I also didn\'t have a camera and hated myself for a week.

Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

There is an olympic sized pool in the basement that caused flooding, and there was once a training airplane simulator, used in the 30\'s. The pool was filled with concrete, and the plane thrown in there. In what is now the mail hall, was once  a .22 calibur rifle shooting range. There are 5 levels of underground basements that students are not allowed in. It was once Boston Tech, then Girls Latin School, now its Boston Latin Academy.

Well, since Uni doesn\'t apply (and I agree, theres too much going on), in my Highschool... nope, cant think of anything out of  the ordinary ever happening there, well, nothing big anyway, just simple stuff like people burning the curtains in one classroom and stuff like  that... my highschool wasn\'t very interesting.

School flooded a few times... also a guy tried to burn part of it down... people getting arrested... some fun fights, one inter-school fight until the police came... and lots of other random funny things happened... um.. yeah that\'s it.

South Carolina is a funny place. You see, my school is an academic based high school. We do not put the majority of the school funds into sports or physical activity. Compared to our rivals, we are weak geeks. We still beat them some of the time, but when we lose it\'s water off our back.

But there\'s a funny thing about beeing an academic school in South Carolina. There are like 2 in the whole state. South Carolina isn\'t known for breeding geniuses.

But anyways, being an academic school in a region that produces very few college scholars we don\'t take any crap. You can get put in handcuffs just for interupting a class. This includes sleeping.

So yeah, we got tons of write ups, suspentions, detentions, and expulsions. I think we got 60 expultions in the first semester alone. Also alot of kids who get taken away in handcuffs. It\'s interesting most of the time.

I think the most interesting thing that happened was a fight that occured in the courtyard next to our cafeteria. By the end of the fight, a teacher had a black eye and a kid had a chunk taken out of his ear. It was odd.

The Gym Boy\'s locker room had a extra attachment that was cutt off by a wall and a bunch of lockers. Was discovered when I was in Sophmore and was used for about half a year for hiding personal \"personal\" belongings. The entrance was from the back where a vent that was left over from the construction was opened up. It was a nice hide away, that was big as a classrom untill some turd decided to hide cocaine in the secret compartment and dogs were hired.

No I didn\'t, seeing as it\'s totally different. I don\'t see any relation anywhere. :) Different schools, different names, different exams at different ages, we specialise onto 11 subjects at the age of 14, and 3-4 subjects at the age of 16, which you don\'t.

On my faculty (Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana) there\'s a NSK [Neue Slowenische Kunst] piece of work by IRWIN that amongst other more classical art techniques (like coal, gold, etc.) uses blood .
And I\'m not making it up - it\'s stated in the plaque as one of the tehniques applied.

I haven\'t been able to detect where exaclty blood was used in that piece of work, but it\'s ...erm ..well ...interesting to know it was used. :]

Also all of the students have chips to open closets, special rooms and toilet doors ...because of the latter we usually, lovingly, call them \"toilet chips\" :]
This measure had to be taken, because the faculty is just across the street from the main marketplace and a lot of people went to our faculty to wash their fruit and pee in our astounding loos ...yup, history is fun :P

Oh, and the place used to be an old printing press, untill it went banktrupt and our faculty had to move to a bigger building ...I was there when the press was still used :]

...oh yea, and the standard: rap artist and other musicians, miss , etc etc.

nothing too interesting at my school.

It was so cruisy and relaxing though, i miss it.

I honestly ennjoyed school and really like it.

my life at school:

lying in garden neer the footy and cricket patch.

We did have a proper footy and cricket patch right at out group till the bastards extended the school and put a bloody building on it.

the tuckshop was good too.  always sold cooked food, they took the vending machines and lollies out but oh well :P (part of australia wide selling good food at school)

An old myth is someone tried to hang themselves from the footy posts.  lmao teachers pulled him down though.

a question:what is so bad about americas school system, its just a school and place to go like any other schoolaround the world right ?
