Pretty fine, you have good attention to detail.  It\'s way better than my little stick figure soldiers.

My only qualm is their pose kind of seems unnatural and their heads are disproportianate(sp) to the rest of their bodies.

You\'ve a good sense of character design, Fogao :) I agree with Zaxim\'s comment and would like to add my own - study anatomy as much as you can, and keep things in proportion. Draw basic geometric shapes for various body parts at first to make sure that nothing is smaller or bigger in proportion than it should be, and after the basics look right, then feel free to add detail (both anatomical and clothing).

Also if you are going to shade, either go for it in full (thus leaving as many outlines as you can and having stronger contrast) or clean up extra pencil marks and have a line drawing :)

Thank you guys for the comments!

mostly i do the proportions very much and almost no detail but  i lost myself completely in this drawing and went all for fantasy and design. so its a bit different than how i work else.
ps: how can i upload my end picture ( signature?)

and some other planeshift orientated picture.

You have to host the image you want for a signature elsewhere, such as ImageShack for example, then go to your profile\'s signature section and paste in the [IMG] code :) Keep in mind we have 140x500 size restrictions for sigs.

The proportions are better in that last drawing, but still just a -bit- off, like the hands for example. It\'s better though! I think the next step would be furthering your study of muscle structures, and the way light plays over forms to deepen your shadows and leave out flat white areas :) If you can, pick up pencils of different hardnesses, ranging from 5H to 6B, and use several of them on one image - so you don\'t have to vary how hard you\'re pressing on the paper with just a single pencil. It helps a ton.

But you must know hands are the most difficult part!

I know, they drive me absolutely crazy too :P That\'s why I tend to simplify them into minimal lines and shading that just suggests the form, unless the hands are a vital piece of the work.

i ask it here because i don\'t understand the thing of the contribution stuff there are no clear words spoken about wich thing\'s you sketch must have to be count .. only wich program you schould use

another question,
how can you select you thing like guest moderator or \"azure watcher\"? can you set it yourself or is it a rank system?

It\'s a rank system ;) \"Guest Moderator\" isn\'t one of them, but you can learn about the ranks and the post requirements for the regular here.

Currently the PlaneShift team is not looking for contributions, but for people to join the team. Thus if you are interested in submitting work, you\'ll have to send in an application. Check the \"Help Us\" page on the main website for some info. When it comes to 2D art, currently the most important job is not really making designs on paper, but making textures. Granted, sketching your design out on paper first is a necessity :P

Nice work Fogao, I like your details. I agree with the other two post at the top of the thread. Look forward to seeing more if you should decide to post more art work of yours.

Um. No, we have no rank called \"Guest Moderator.\" Is this a bother of some sort..? ;)
