I got exactly the same error message.

I deleted my character and started another with the same name but it still didn\'t work.

Oh, very sure... I looked at it 3 time, repeated the number in my head for 4-5 times, and then wrote it down to see if it\'s the same thing. Whatever, it really is the same number.

Character Schmerdro moved, due to access violation 0041AC3B. (Right? :>)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Same error message... 0041AC3B... what error message would I get if I have less than the required amount of memory (256 DDR SDRAM)?

I don\'t think there is a specific error for that, or that you\'d get an error at all. Let me try one more time...

What about now?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

It worked!!!
But I disabled sound, so that might\'ve helped a bit. I dunno, I\'ll tell you later if it works with sound enabled.

Thanks!

Err, I got a bit of a new one for yeah.

Umm, becuase of my stupidity, I minimised the client after logging into the char selection screen, to switch to the forum.    I normally just click the firefox tab on my quick bar, but I umm,  didn\'t do that this time for some reason.  Anyways, since I had the sound on, umm, the client crashed when it minimised since I guess that problem isn\'t fixed yet.

Now, after loading the client, I am unable to login, as it states I am already logged in as thebaronvonperrine@gmail.com (my email addy, obviously) rather than any of my characters since I hadn\'t selected any of them before the client crashed.  It\'s telling me to wait 30 seconds, but well, after a minute, still nothing, and then I waited a half hour in case there might be a auto disconnect feature, but I\'m still unable to log in.

Umm, not sure what needs to be done to reset my accoucts login status.  If it were one of my characters, I believe it would have auto disconnected by now, but since it is my actual account, not sure.  Will this be able to be fixed in the back end, or is my account now unuseable?

Thanks for the help.

EDIT: Wasn\'t sure if this should be made it\'s own thread or not, and since other people were requsting there chars be fixed so they could log in, and thats kinda what I need, so I thought it should fit here.

That is new, actually.
The problem that has been fixed in CVS - I don\'t think a new client has been released again - concerns the minimization/lost of focus of PS window with sound off. That surely crashes.

If you have a crash with sound on, can you please send the dump file?

Have you tried again to log in just by chance? It seems a really odd problem, actually. Theoretically, your \"ghost\" should disconnect when it can\'t see that the client you were using is alived.

Don\'t worry, you made it right.
I can\'t unlock an account, but if you will get again this kind of crash please save the diagnostic file and send it to me.

Just noticed someone posted. XP

1)  When it crashed, it just crashed, no dump to be saved. Sorry.

2)  Just tried it.  Still thinks I\'m connected.

Not that it will help much but screeny:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/thebaronvonperrine/PS%20stuff/lockedout.jpg

EDIT:  Alright, solved the problem.  My compy seemed to be running awfully slow, so I took a gander in my TaskManager, and low and behold, the client was still running.  That would explain the why I\'m still logged in.  I switched to it, and I got it back, it\'s sitting at the char selection screen waiting patiently for me.

As to why it wasn\'t showing up in the task bar, I guess it cuased Windows to have its ever classic explorer.exe crash that plagues the OS ever since the begining.

For those of you that don\'t know what I\'m taking about.  Sometimes a program crashes under windows that cuases windows to crash the explore.exe part.  You see a blank desktop, and after a few seconds, the taskbar reappears and the running programs (most of them) are redisplayed in the bar.  Some programs won\'t redisplay, mostly the ones that are shown runing next to the clock, but it some times effects programs in the task bar as well.

While PS didn\'t crash, it looks like when it was minimised, Windows didn\'t like that too much.   Anyways, opening task manager and selecting switch to (as it was still showing under the running processes) brang it back up and it reappeared in the task bar.

So, my fault, sory for all the inconvience.  Just ignore my problem, as it really was a ID 10 T error.  or whatisthat other... Problem exists between keyboard and seat? PEBKAS

yeah, thats the one.
