« on: March 04, 2006, 09:27:29 pm »
I have maxed out strength to 150(150) but sometime after being ingame it seems to lower to 150( 138 ) and my damage lowers. Is there a reason for this or am i missing something ?

Well, you have a penalty there from something.  Was weakness cast on you?  Certain equipment and weapons can also have this effect.

How can I rise my Will? someone told me that Sharven in Temple can increase it but at the max of 80 and I got 82 at the creation of my character.

But I need more Will to wear my weapon, can anyone tell how can I rise it?

The only spell that was cast on me was strength and when it was cast my strength and agility both dropped by 20% in the brackets which lead to my damage lowering.Since then the lower stat in brackets has been there but i was told it would boost my strength and not have the effect it had.

I casted strength on myself four times. I went from 150 (150) to 150 (90) when the strength spell had worn off. To my dismay I also dropped everything in my inventory. I am not sure if the strength spell is supposed to do that? I thought it just simply wears off and you are back to normal.

Talking about stats, I am wondering if there\'s a glitch somewhere with damage calculation. How does an Enki with 75 strength cause more damage (average 2.9 per blow) on a rat than a Kran with 125 strength (average 2.8 per blow)? All melee only, with starting strength stat... I\'m kind of confused.

No weapons, same melee skill (0), but different strength. (Agility and endurance is also different of course.)

When I got back into the game, I was going to check again to make sure [but someone messed that up for awhile]. However, when last I played I decided to check out the new combat rules by attacking an npc that others were also attacking (I had the options set to log chat and system, but for some reason the character never had a log generated for it--there was an old one for a deleted character).  Anyway, I noticed while watching that the other people were hitting for just as many points as my Kran which had twice the str and end of the others.  My sword skill was 5, one of the others had 7, and the other one had 3.
Like I said, I was going to verify from the log, but that never happened--so I can\'t verify how accurate my obserations are--but for sure, the damage done with very different stats varies very little.

Is agility in the mix for the combat damage rules?  If so, Kran don\'t usually have much in agi.  Unfortunately, my agi was higher than the third character I was comparing to.

**oh yeah--the slash on the 2nd comparison character\'s sword was the same as the slash on mine, and the slash on the 3rd character\'s sword was only a decimal or 2 above half the slash on mine.**
