Weapon modifiers...

After previously going to the temple area several times in a row and getting or hearing about weapons of this or that or the tri-somethinged weapon or something something someting weapon of something something and searching the forums for something somewhat like this I began to wonder about weapon modifiers, how many there are, the different effects on slash, speed, equipability, and ability to cause awe in other people, or nothing at all.  So I was wondering if anyone else had a good idea of what some of the modifiers do to weapons; I already have a rough idea of some of the multiplications caused by different modifiers and also some status requirements.  If anyone would be willing to share their discoveries I guess you should put them down here.  

If this type of thread is not allowed then someone please lock it with your infinite moderating powers or something.  I await confirmation to see if this thread is legal or not before I post anything I\'ve seen or heard about.

There\'s nothing really wrong with discussing this.  I have nothing against posting very generalized concepts here, however anything that gets even slightly specific should be either taken in-game or to a guild\'s private forum.  We don\'t really want any spoilers on the forums.  Don\'t post modifier names and numbers, but if you want to discuss vague categories... it\'s dancing on the line, but I would argue it\'s fine.  (ex: \"___ and ___ are good, but ___ is more preferred\" don\'t post something like \"___ has ___ points in ___\")

There were a few very detailed lists of what modifiers did what.  Those lists are now useless it seems:


1.  All the stats for weapons were modified.

2.  I\'ve observed that the same modifier will now affect different weapons in different ways.


That said, there are people in game \"researching\" the modifiers.  Of course, the devs have complete lists of everything but that would ruin the fun.:)

Yup.  :)

Many of the more basic formulae are easily reverse-engineerable.  Best advice is to go in game and try to find the other \"researchers\".

And, they\'re not all finished either.  At some point we\'ll start using all those elemental columns in the DB, and the weapon vs. armor table.  (you can take a look at what\'s available in the CVS DB, but the scripts that use it aren\'t public)
