Download problems

   I hope you will be able to help me with a problem because I am at a loss, I tried to download Planeshift yesterday on to my laptop, the torrents seem to have comethrough ok as it says they are running but it won\'t download the actual game, it just sits at zero, it also says that it\'s not a valid win 32 application, and this morning it says there is a problem connecting to tracker.
If it makes a difference the laptop I am using is a HP with windows xp, service pack2, 1.73 intel processor, 367 mhz, 512 mb of ram and 43.5gb of free space. I already play on my desktop and have spent many long nights playing so you are doing a superb job to hold my attention for so long, hope you can help.

Second,

Some Bit Torrent clients will make a file full of useless bytes that is the same size as the file you are dling. As you recieve the real packets, the client will write the reall data to the spots over top of the useless temp data.  Thats how Azureus works by defualt anyway.  I\'m assuming you tried to run the setup program, but it gave that error as that really isn\'t the real file yet, just temp data.  Try the decentralized tracker setting thing I suggested, and if all else fails, just wait for the tracker to come back online.

thanks for your help with the last problem, I downloaded Azureus and it seemed to download the game, but now after registering a new account I cannot get to character creation and planeshift isn\'t listed on my start menu or in my list of programmes. I used the link sent with the confirmation e-mail.

right, that link confirms you have a valid account waiting for you.

now, this may be silly, but you ran the installer after it finished in azureus right?  It should be in your start menu if you did. the actual char creation step takes place through the client, after you sign into the server using that account user ID and password you just registered.  So you\'ll have to install the client part )the file you used azureus to download) and run that and it\'s pretty much self explanatory after that.

should be where ever you told azureus to dl files to when you setup your azureus client.

Iv been useing torrent storm to try and download this for a few days now but i just get connection refused. Iv also tried the mirrors on the planeshift web site and they dont work either.

Im download azureus from here now http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/azureus/Azureus_2.4.0.0_Win32.setup.exe?use_mirror=kent install it by clicking on it where ever you download it to eg desktop.
the download should start automaticaly.

I get the same connection refused message with Azureus as i do with torrent storm. I know my torrent storm works because i use it to download allsorts all ofe time. is this problem something to do with my computer or this torrent because downloading this is getting to the point where its not worth the hassel.

Although BT is the highly preferred method, ther is always the direct links found on the download page.

No the mirrors dont work either. None of the ways to download the game for windows work.
