Crash on connection attempts
« on: March 13, 2006, 05:12:19 pm »
I downloaded the latest build for OSX.  I first had issues with it failing to reach the server.  No matter, I opened the servers.xml in TextEdit as advised, and changed the number to 7777 (it was 7345 or something).

But now when I press \"Connect to Server\" it crashes out.  Every time.

What am I doing wrong?  I have a highly-specced dual-G5 and the previous build worked fine, so there shouldn\'t be any hardware issues.

It sounds like you didn\'t actually get the latest build - the servers.xml file in the 0.13 dmg specifies \"7777\" as the server port.  Did you use BitTorrent or a bittorrent client to download the complete fresh 0.13 install?

Aha perhaps not - I couldn\'t get the Bittorrent file to work, it wouldn\'t find any peers etc.

I\'ll have another go.  It looks like the one I downloaded from the Mirror server is only 3.11.
