STUCK!
« on: March 28, 2006, 07:10:31 am »
My player name is Udontis and I get this message when I try to connect to the server...

\"The Sector you have entered couldn\'t be loaded. Check your logs for details.\"

I think this means I need a taxi ride to a safe place?

Thanks!

Running your updater (try recover mode) will fix this. This is not a \"taxi service\" issue.

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Did you even search for that?
I think not, because it\'s simply there in you start menu-->programs-->PlaneShift.

It basically runs the updater without the graphics, as a DOS-like window. Simpler and more direct in a way.

So you mean when you click on recover mode (from your Start Menu or a shortcut) you don\'t see any window come up, even along your taskbar?

Do it from a prompt.
  • start -> run
  • type \"cmd\" and hit enter
  • type \"cd c:\\program files\\planeshift crystal blue\\\" (or wherever you put the thing) and hit enter
  • type \"updater -auto\" and hit enter
  • tell me what it says
Edited to add:
Dammit... I just did that, and realized that text mode is borked.  Crap.... um....  I\'ll get back to ya.  :/
