for one he said 2 pounds a week and another thing...I dont want to diss on PS because i love it, but putting it on a level with WOW is absurd, and saying it will be just as popular is doubly absurd. WOW has about 5 million players world wide. It is dveloped by blizzard games, a highly respected, renowned and proffesional video game company, it advertises, it is in software form that is purchased at every popluar store that would even sell video games. Its very high quality, smooth and entirely stable, and on top of that, the warcraft franchise has been revered and poplular for years now.
Planeshift on the other hand, is open source, free, unadvertised, somewhat new, and it lacks reputaion. It relies simply on you, me and google searches to drag in its players. Its rate of development is entirely random based on the number of devs regardless of the dedication of its regulars. All in all it is a wonderful game, but i dont think it is built for the wide audience that WOW reaches. Its players have to have a sense of loyalty and patience, and some experience with rpg\'s to stay involved. Although i hold it in the same light as wow, i cant imagine that 80% of other people would agree with me.
Heres an example, I have probably 20 kids at my school of 300 that play WOW and problably 150 that have heard of it and many that want to play it. I am one of about 3 people at my school that have even heard of PS and I am the only one that plays it. So there is my rant on karastartok\'s naive statements.
