Hay cheater (not really cheating but still unfair) you just used the oil transfer tool in a editing program, I have micrografix picture publisher, and with a click of a button, I can do that too!

???"what do you have to say about that" ???

I say that you're confused and need to understand what's going on a little more ;)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

[ooc]  ??? Even if that was the case that is not the point. I know it doesn't take much to make these paintings but the Learch paintings actually took some time. If you know photoshop so well then you will be able to see I did these things to the screenshot.

(1) I used the magic wand tool and a delete button to earse the back grounds on some of the photo's
(2) I spent time playing around with filters to try and come up with different but realistic paintings (This took time, isn't as easy as you make it sound as I am a perfectionist. You know how hard it is to accept something and leave it alone?)
(3) I used the smudge tool to make it so that the edges faded on some of the paintings
(4) I used the cloaning tool to fill in and in some cases create whole new body parts.
(5) I used an overlay to change some colors in the screenshot to make certain places darker or lighter or just to change the color peroid and not the texture. (Woo hoo for me I am learning alot for those of you who care :P )
(6) It takes time and skill to also be good at getting shots from the game to do all of this with.
(7) The time it eats up to go into game and roleplay out a session with the clients and sketching their profiles.

Not bad for someone who doesn't know much about computers. Now to address this cheating comment. What are you talking about? Cheating who and what? I haven't fibbed and said I did these all on my own, actually I have done just the opposite and have told everyone I am new at this and photoshop. Giving them the opportunity to watch me grow in this skill. I have created a character who is a painter in planeshift, and have taken it to the forums to provide some realisim to the game. It is called an imagination. I have said in previous posts that I plan to start adding odjects and clothing to the potraits to add an even more realistic touch. So really your comment in the end makes you look like you don't understand what I am doing, maybe try and learn about things first before trying to give....ermm... was it advice? Or just shooting me down? That is what I have to say about that.

Oh and this too ...

I really don't think you are seeing the point.
She came up with something original and a service that can be incorporated in game.
People seem to like what she is doing and she is getting better with each one so relax,
by the way, you sig ain't workin

What makes you say the buying it would be unfair?
After all, she is taking her own time to do it, she charges reasonable rates
and if someone wanted to do it themselves for free, they would.
Noone is twisting anyone's arm in the deal.

How so? I put my time into it. I don't ask for much in payment either. It is a business. I don't do my work for free.

No problems, I didn't take offence to your first post. Though I was a little put off by the wording, I thought it could just be a misunderstanding and that is why I posted what I had actually done. It isn't just a simple click of a button, trust me. :)

I believe we are talking about tria anyway (not actual real-world currency).  Why shouldn't she get paid for it?

In a world where the vast majoriy of occupations consist of fighting, mining, and crafting, I find it very refreshing to see anyone RP a career that is a little different.  Without any in-game mechanics to support an aspiring artist, I applaud her effort at thinking "outside the box".   \\o//

@Zorbels:  Pencil me in on your schedule for May 27th.  ;)

Seeing as you recommened me to planeshift can I talk you into making me a signature? ~ Sarff does the puppy dog eyes ~ Once I establish my character in planeshift you know I will be hitting you up for a painting. :flowers:

I like how yours looks with the battle stance. Maybe something of that for a klyros? Black and white would look sweet.  :woot: Thanks for making a sigunature for me.

Thank you Zorbels for my signature. <3

Do you draw portraits of races that are currently uncompleted ingame? If it's possible for you to draw a female Yilan, then I'll be stopping by sometime.
