help. planeshift + other games wont open!

dont know what happened but the other day when i tryed to play counter-strike it wouldnt load. and i just got planeshift and tryed to open the game and it wouldnt load either. ive ran ad-aware and a virus scan and they came up with nothing so i dont know what it is. some of my games work but others do not :\\

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon VisionTek XTACY 9600 XT
System Memory: 256 MB
Video Memory: 256 MB

they refuse to work because you didn\'t format your system, try formatting
