PlaneShift will never have any automaps that show everyone as moving dots and the like. In the future all maps will be made by players through the cartography skill. This isn\'t going to happen any time soon however, for more important things need to be done first and our world isn\'t big enough to require serious maps.

Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

The world is fairly linear at this point.  Just go explore.  :)

If you would have played a traditional MUD the situation would have been even worse :)

Usually, people that like maps can try to make one themselves in the while that they explore the environment.

Good luck

Overhead view + Screenshot + good photo editor + Lots of spare time = decent mapmaking technique

You can also ask people for directions in game.  One of them may be able to help.

Hope this helps!

Or join a guild. Most of the guilds have quite good maps available for their members. After a week or so you won\'t need any maps anyway.

If you really want to, you can go grab some graph paper and do it the old-fashioned way.  :D
