It\'s working fine.  Problem is on your end.  You probably just need to go download the new package.  Sticky.

If you have a router/proxy/firewall, do the standard stuff for that.  Read the stickies.

Did you have problems before?
I mean, have you ever been able to play? Did you add some software/hardware that controls what is going out/coming in in your connection?

Maybe you are anyway behind a firewall/router and before you opened a port, and now you simply would need to open another one?

If you just went to college, it could be the fact that their LAN may be blocking ports needed for Planeshift.  Ive had that problem for many games, however Planeshift works just fine for me here. *crosses fingers*

Bypassing your router is a serious security risk.  It is better to forward the ports.  Go to http://www.portforward.com, find your router, and follow the easy steps.

First of all, bypassing the firewall is only the first step because ports are blocked AT the router, most things never reach the firewall.  What you have to do is get into your router.  Most of the time, the best way to do this is:

1)Start>>Run
2)Enter: command
3)Type: ipconfig

Take your default gateway number, and type that into your browser - bam straight to the router firmware.  You will have to open the ports on UDP as well as TCP, look to the site above for more information on your specific rotuer.

Last Warning:

Im suppose your are using Windows, because only Windows tries so hard to be secure and does such a bad job at doing it efficiently.  Just to point out you have your router open AND your firewall open.  Be extremely careful as to what sites you go to because you are going to be recieving every single little packet from every site, and Windows and the way they use .dll files so much is not known for its resilience to malware.
