News on Crafting?

Well, you can combine the stock castings, (but you really can\'t) Trasok has a seling catagory called \"crafting techniques\" and theres a chest under him that seems like it can be used for crafting. BUT my characrter doesn\'t \"Have something in mind.\" Does this mean we\'re really close, to the god given day when I make my own messed up weapons and then crash right after?
Oh and there\'s this really kewl menu on the castings with all these -1\'s...Maybe cause I suck :/

The system is still being worked on for players - some items are needed (and figuring out how to let players stumble onto them), GUI windows, instructions, etc. We\'re a lot closer than we were before, let\'s say :3

This simply means that the slot you\'re considering is occupied, but with an item that you don\'t posess (that is, an item of another player).
The -1 number is applied so you cannot take the item...
it is true although that some players liked using those stock castings as personal closets, so you were able to see mushrooms and clacker meats on those stock furnaces... yeah, a big barbecue.

I think you\'re confusing the weight of the smithing table with the one of the shield.

The dwarf looks funny because I was also testing a patch that would fix the left hand/right hand issue with the models.  I was in the middle of doing that when I took this screen shot.

The crafting system is basicaly working altought there are some isues yet to be fixed.
The weight of a spiked shield is 19 btw
