If I understood it correctly, it\'s just that (leather) armour is now seen on a few more models.

Indeed, there are some new armor skins for fenkis and male and female dwarves, meaning that you can now see them wear leather armor as well.

Also the software has been prepared for armor models that have a different 3D shape than the normal character models. Up until now when you put on armor your character model stays the same, it only gets a different 2D texture but with the support for different models it\'s possible to have armor that also looks different, with spikes or bulky plates.

As far as I know there is no actual new armor type implemented, still the same old leather armor but they are ready to put some more armor in the game now.

What did I lie about?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

\"New armor\" probably means:

Some races, which did not yet have own armor before (like Diaboli / Ynnwn), now have some armor too (like Fenki and dwarfs).

Unfortunately, the Ylians are still one of the rather \"discriminated\" races...

Karyuu didn\'t write that, I did.  And, I didn\'t lie, you just misunderstood.  Support has been added for things like spiky armor.  If we added spiky armor, I would have said so.  This just means the engine is capable of doing this, but not that we have the models or textures for it, yet.

This might be an ingame question, but here goes... What types of armor are there in the game, just leather of other stuff as well? Also, how do you get armor? Buy, drop, craft? If its bought I\'ll ask in-game who sells it, but just wanted to know.

Just leather at the moment, and you can only buy, not craft or find it as a drop right now :)

While we are on the subject of armor, could i ask something really stupid?
I\'m not sure about shields now, were they ever fixed and made to work? Or are  they still just big lumps of metal that you stick on your arms and they dont do anything?
Sorry about this I was curiouse...

I\'m pretty sure they\'re still just lumps of metal doing nothing besides being pretty .. or ugly.

Then why doesn\'t my shield handling skill go up when fighting with one?

Shields are just nice ornaments atm, they offer no protection/defense. Zan is right, if they would work then you would be able to train them.

And what about armors? Are they just unusable equipment or do their work already?
