Inability to update - 404
« on: April 16, 2006, 11:09:00 pm »
A few errors here. Several clean installations and 2 machines make no difference.

Errors produced:

Critical files ( ) not found (Server only)
Mounting skin: /planeshift/art/apps.zip
Skipping \'YesNo\' because it\'s already loaded
NOTIFY: psUpdaterEngine initialized.
Couldn\'t load cached file list. If this is the first time you run, there is nothing to worry about!
Updates: 5
MD5 sum doesn\'t match after downloading vfs.cfg. Skipping
Server error: Error while downloading: transfer closed with 10043036 bytes remaining to read, file http://www.psmirror.org/psupdater/linux32/psc (200)
Server error: Error while downloading: transfer closed with 11156791 bytes remaining to read, file http://planeshift.mirror.thumbnail.cz/psupdater/linux32/psc (200)
Server error 404 (http://laanx.fragnetics.com/updater_hidden/http://planeshift.mirror.thumbnail.cz/psupdater/linux32/psc)

On a sidenote, I don\'t know what\'s happening with the md5 error, but after that the target file is definitely there, just that the proxy the updater\'s trying to use (http://laanx.fragnetics.com/updater_hidden/) doesn\'t do anything -

ie the last part (http://planeshift.mirror.thumbnail.cz/psupdater/linux32/psc) works in a browser, but the whole URL (http://laanx.fragnetics.com/updater_hidden/http://planeshift.mirror.thumbnail.cz/psupdater/linux32/psc)) just chucks a 404 back.

EDIT: On a sidenote, in the interests of expediency how should I proceed with a manual update? Should I download all 4 files from that directory into planeshift and run fixlibs.sh?

That\'s strange. Do you have a firewall?

And yes, to update manually, download everything in linux32, and run fixlibs.sh.

I do, but if it\'s causing a problem, it\'s probably a hardware/firmware bug, because the configuration is spot on from what I can see. :(

I\'ll bet it\'s my ISP :(.

Are you able to access http://planeshift.mirror.thumbnail.cz/psupdater/linux32/ directly? Because a short while ago it showed an index, and now it responds with a 404.

I can access the one file I know about directly (psc, I assumed the index would be there when I came back :( ).

The things that\'s confusing the heck out of me is that md5 error.. worrying :S

Thank you - would you mind telling me what the files are? Sorry, but without an index I don\'t know :(

404 for me as well. Mirror is down.

Remove the line:

and try updating again.

If it doesn\'t work, then get the files from:

http://www.psmirror.org/psupdater/linux32/
