Mouse getting stuck in the center of the screen.
« on: April 21, 2006, 07:59:47 pm »
I\'ve just begun playing this game but I find it quite annoying when my cursor gets stuck on my character and I can\'t move it off.

When I try to move the mouse back and forth it just zooms in and out...
I\'ve tried to do just about everything, but the mouse just won\'t unstuck... I had to login remotely to kill the app to be able to quit.. (reassigned the quit-button to left strafe :))

Sure you weren\'t in mouselook? Hit tab to switch in and out of it. I\'ve never heard of a problem where your mouse would just get stuck somewhere :)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Mmm

I had that a couple of times too.
I recall Zorbels experiencing something similar.
When you press tab, the cursor comes back, yes, but it\'s movility is very restringed, like if it\'s tied to the center of the screen. A weird thing, and I\'ve been unable to reproduce it.
Are there any MoonSeekers left?

and I had to log out with hotkey + restart to make it go.  I wasn\'t in mouselook either.

I have also had this problem.  I just hit every damn key on the keyboard until it somehow gets unstuck.  At first I thought it was related to /sit but it was not.

Your mouse gets stuck in the center of the screen because it is in \"Change Viewing Distance\" mode.  Hold down shift and click once to put it back to normal.

Nilrem you are correct I did have that problem. If you hold down shift and left click twice it goes away. :) Unfortantly Goldir one click isn\'t enough for me.
I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

Sometimes I encounter this problem too...
Next time I will try Zorbels advice with the double left mouse click and shift key...

Another similar problem ist that sometimes my character starts greeting like crazy ....
on almost every mouseclick or short movement( with cursorkeys) my charcter greets, unfortunately also in the middle of a fight  :(

It was enabled while trying to autorun and hit accidently the CapsLock key in a middle of something .. then I got as well the MousePointer centered and only could switch with Tab between zooming and mousemove ..

I released it instead with only [Shift] cicking twice [LMouse] with [Caps]+[Shift] and clicking once [LMouse]  \\o//

.. just in case someone stumbled over that as well ..
