Have problems downloading/updating from cvs

Hi all

Wanted to Compile from CVS.
Getting this messages when trying to connect to the following CVS sources:

in case of cal3d:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/cal3d login
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

in case of Crystal space:
cvs  -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/crystal login
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

in case of CEL:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/cel login
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above

only planeshift does the connect:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/planeshift login

and does also .....

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/planeshift co planeshift

............correctly!!!!

My question is now ....is this a normal behaviour fior Cal3d/CS/CEL and do you all live with that and get the sources via direct download and dont use cvs at all or is it a temporary problem and im the one who couldn\'t wait(again)?

Im trying to build it on opensuse 10.0

.... i was just wondering cause nearly every Compileguide is written for the cvs sources and i cant get them....

...will download it directly now but just wanted to know if this situation is normal .......

Hi,

In the latest weeks SourceForge hasn\'t granted anonymous access to CVS, due to technical problems they have encountered.

What surprises me is that you have been actually able to access anonymous CVS of PS!

If you go in this http://sourceforge.net/docs/A04/ homepage you will see the status of CVS and you will understand what is wrong.
However, I know that CS and CEL have organized a \"recovery\" system that let\'s everybody access anonymously CVS on another machine, temporarily.

you can now access anonymous CVS for
CS+CEL from this url:


 cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@crystalspace3d.org:/home/crystal/scm/crystal
[login|co]
 cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@crystalspace3d.org:/home/crystal/scm/cel [login|co]


The password is empty (just like with SF).


This anonymous cvs is updated every 30 minutes which is better then
the 5 hours that SourceForge used.


However, I don\'t recommend you to use HEAD for all the projects if you want to play on Laanx.
