It has been about 2 or so months since I have been extremely active ingame in PS. Which I believe has made it a bit easier to compare PS to PS 3 months ago.. 6 months ago and so on.  PS is looking sharp... and professional these days for sure.  Huge improvements I have noticed in just a few hours of game time.  The Foilage system will be worked out im sure and be made even better.. but the land looks much better.. the game runs much smother and no longer hinders gameplay.  So to all the devs out there, I would like to say thank you.

Oh wait one last thing... I have not heard too much news about the new site.. but I think there should be a \"Donations\" icon/button that is very noticeable. Maybe none of that \"Premium User\" kind of a thing but allow people who are willing to send donations.

As you will see from reading them now, the devs have even declined to take voluntary donations. Instead you are advised to donate to the Crystalspace (the engine used in PS) project, which does accept donations.

They dont take donations it\'s on the main site..and in this case if we had 300 servers they\'d all be done. DB wipe, thats the concept. If you talk about other crashes, it\'s been discussed. Search button. Top of every screen, there to be used.

If you want to donate, help Fragnetics or Crystal Space :) We would have no idea how to use donations to PlaneShift itself. Who would get the money? What would it be used for? How would it be shared?

Really, our engine or server host could use it more than us.

I think one of the ideas more commonly considered acceptable is to have a swag store.  A little online shop selling PS merchandise to raise money for stuff.  Though, at this point we don\'t really need it and we have what we need.

I think you could use donations to buy more soundtracks for the game.. they R very cheap.
maybe more server power (to enable for more players NPCs and AI) ? or is all the server stuff donated too ?

I too agree that one of the appeals of this game is its free nature...
but many people including myself would be happy to donate.. time and money as long as we dont get locked in to some sort of monthly fee.. $15-$19  USD a month is way too much for a game that you might play casually.

maybe you could build an economy where people can legitimately buy/sell in game money and weapons. a free market economy where people could have shops and use newbies for errands.. for example a smithy who would load newbies some tools and point them to where the ore is and then buy the ore off them when they come back..

I think more focus on the NON violent aspects of the game would be great.. at the moment i see now way that you can start your little mining/harvesting business from the beginning without bashing a few hundred rats/clackers and rogues.

All the sound is created specifically for PlaneShift by our Sound/Music team. We don't use anything from other sources.

The server is donated to us by Fragnetics, but you are free to make donations to them.

How did this thread become a wishlist? People can already legitimately buy/sell in-game weapons. (Don't see how you can sell money though.) Player-run shops already exist and are going to be further encouraged. But let's not steer this off-topic.

So what I'm getting is, most everything is donated to you all!?!
What you could do is, (the effort is worth it considering they're donating it) make a paypall account, or whatever, then collect monthly donations of those who wish to donate, then split the donations between fragnetics, CS, etc.. This way, it's like the PS community donating to PS, yet overall it's PS showing thanks and donating to frags, etc.. A win/win scenario, hehe.
