Crash on login screen
« on: April 26, 2006, 06:07:46 pm »
When i try to log in it just freezes and nothing happens. I've tried leaving it for 15 mins. But nothing happened. I also tried turning off the sound as said in trouble shooting.
Whats the problem folks?
Much thanks

Can you try to run the client with the console and then post the content here?

This should help you:

it says fullbright, but read on to the console command

Maybe there should be a sticky explaining the console command (here in technical help, not in Newbie help like the thread i linked to)

Also you might want to check the system requirements if you have not done that yet.

Good luck

You haven't posted or told us about your system specs yet :) Things like your processor, RAM, and graphics card are the most important. You can learn some of these by right-clicking on your My Computer icon and hitting Properties, and you can check your card by right-clicking on your Desktop, Properties, then looking at the Settings tab, and the text under "Display".
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Seeing as it hasn't been said yet, do you have version 0.3.014 with updater version 1.1.1.1?

Do you have your graphic card drivers update?

For running in console mode you have to go in:
Programs->planeshift crystal blue
Right click on Planeshift - Tech Demo, then click properties.
Then, at the end of Target field add -console so it looks similar to this:
"C:\Programmi\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\psclient.exe" -console

Start up your client (maybe not in fullscreen mode...), you will get another window, a console window, now, running in parallel with your client.
Some text will be displayed there. Do a nice copy and paste everything especially the last things,  in here.
