Better use of Combined Objects
« on: April 28, 2006, 09:07:30 am »
How about harvesting natures creatures and combining the results to make some nifty new tools.

For example Kill one of those spider looking creatures and then extract Poison from it.

Then you can combine the poison with swords to make poisonous swords.. or arrow tips..

Same goes for Acid...
When you kill a clacker (or other crusty little creature) you may sometimes get Clacker Bile / Acid.. which you can then use to make acid potions that can be thrown at enemies.
Or even clacker shells could be combined with skills to make shields, armour etc.

Gold/gems could be fashioned/added to Armour and weapons to make them more elabourate and thus give you a charisma bonus.

You could put poison or acid on arrows!

but if you put acid on an arrow, wouldnt it melt the arrow? or the sword? and besides, to do much damage to the "reciever", the PH must be Below Neutral Zone, or Above Neutral Zone. in other words, acid or alkali. but if it was strong, and can hurt the reciever, it can hurt the user, or his weapons. the acid vial idea is good, as acid cannot destroy glass (to my knowledge), and so are the poison weapons. perhaps a full health bar (FYI: consider having health under 100% having cuts, and the lower health is, the more chance of becoming poisoned yourself) to apply poisons to weapons. you have some nice ideas.
