Lines of Work

Merchants- Merchants will be able to own shops inside the guild and outside. The shops owned inside the guild will preferably sell better quality goods, only available to guild members. All profits earned from a private shop or a shop inside the guild go to the shop owner, who will then have to pay his workers and pay for raw materials. Owning a shop outside of the guild is encouraged more than owning a private shop inside the guild. Owners of a shop outside the guild will deal items to anyone who can pay. Also they won't have to pay for raw materials or labour. However, 50% of all profits from public shops or shops outside of the guild go to the Kingdom treasury to be distributed and used accordingly.
Craftspeople and gatherers- Craftspeople work for the Kingdom making everything that can be made in the world of Planeshift. They will be paid either by selling their items to private shop owners, by selling their items to the Kingdom who will in turn give it to public shop owners or sell it to other guilds.
Gatherers are the ones who collect all the raw materials that can be collect from the Planeshift world. These gatherers can sell their raw materials to private shop owners, Craftspeople, or the Kingdom who will sell it to other guilds.
Government Workers- This is the second hardest line of work to be accepted into. The government workers will have more ranks and will also have more responsibilities. Not only will they influence how the Empire is run, but they will also make sure that it runs smoothly, acting as a sort of police is some cases. The highest rank of government workers other than the Hiou-Kai is a Council Member. The council members will decide big things like alliances and wars and also smaller things like promotions and light punishments.
Ghi'am-Ko Warriors- Becoming a Ghi'am-Ko Warrior is the hardest line of work, mainly because there are not many needs for them. The warriors will do things like keep the peace…or not...between other people and guilds. Also the Warriors will be included in certain councils such as alliance and war meetings. Other than that, the warriors don’t do much, however they are given much respect and some extra privileges. The Empire may soon have a league of experienced fighters who will kill for the prize and loot. These warriors will be chosen by the council and by the Empire. You may not apply to be one of them. 20% of what they loot goes to the guild to be distributed to people in need. Also these select few will be given certain missions to complete for the good of the Empire.
Bankers- The Bankers will work in the First National Bank of Ghi'am-Ko doing a variety of different jobs. These will include storage, desk work, helping out customers, and of course their will be one or more bank managers, depending on how big the bank gets, who will make sure everything runs smoothly. The bank will be a place where people can go to deposit items and money for a small cost. People who use the bank will be asked to open up an account. As you use the bank we will make a record for you of deposits and withdrawals so we can keep track of what you have in the bank. This is a first in the world of Planeshift. Hopefully it will work out great and the name The First National Bank of Ghi'am-Ko will go down in history.
Librarians- The First National Library of Ghi'am-Ko might not be the first library in Yliakum, but it will without a doubt be the biggest one, hopefully taking donations of knowledge from other smaller libraries around Yliakum and from Ghi'am-Ko's Explorers and Scientists. The Librarians wont have as many ranks as the other lines of work however. The librarians will basically help people to find information in the library. Some librarians will help to sort newly acquired information, where as other will be making sure everyone finds what they're looking for easily and quickly, like a manager.
Scientists and Explorers- Scientists and Explorers work for the Kingdom by finding out everything they can about the world we live in. They will then be asked to donate their information to The First National Library of Ghi'am-Ko but if it is of great importance they can even sometimes sell it to the library. When this occurs it will be paid for by the Kingdoms treasury. If a scientist or explorer says they have valuable information to SELL to the kingdom, but it turns out that it was outrageously over priced or just plain not valuable, you will be that scientist or explorer will be warned. After receiving two warnings you will no longer be allowed to work for the kingdom of Ghi'am-Ko as a scientist or an explorer.
NOTE: when there is suspicion that a piece of Information is not valuable or over priced there will be a council meeting and a vote to whether the seller will receive a warning or a pat on the back, so as to eliminate unfair warnings being given. Only council members or the Hiou-Kai can give warnings.
Scientists study nature and how it works. For example magic and combined spells, or how to make potions from what plants, where as Explorers basically Explore the world finding new and interesting places, things, people, and monsters. Also when the cartography skill is ready, higher ranked explorers will be allowed to make Ghi'am-Ko maps that can be sold to guilds or other people.

Rules

General Rules:1. Just because you’re a higher level doesn't mean you can tell lower levels what to do! The only people who can give orders that will result in punishment if they are not followed are the Council members and the Hiou-Kai. If you are a banker then the Bank manager is allowed to give you orders, which MUST be followed, or punishment will be given. That is the same for librarians, where the head librarians are allowed to give orders.
2. If a Council member gives an unreasonable order, which is not followed, and then that Council member punishes the person who disobeyed the order. That Council member will be brought before the remaining Council members and the Hiou-Kai to have a trail. This will usually result in demotion.
3. If someone gets you angry or you just aren't in a good mood, try not to be rude or swear, because that just ruins it for the others.
4. Obey ALL Planeshift Rules
5. Try to at least do a little bit of Role Playing. This game isn't just about stats y'know?...
6. Work your hardest and don’t be lazy, although everyone one needs a break from time to time!
7. Don’t be BAD!...
8.Most of all, Have fun! If you don’t find this guild fun than my advice for you is to find another that suits you better!
Bank Rules:1. Obey all reasonable orders given to you by the Bank managers!
2. NEVER be rude to the customers or other bank workers.
3. Work hard and try to figure out how the bank works as soon as possible.
4. Any stealing of customer’s objects or money will result in expulsion from the guild.
Library Rules:1. Obey all reasonable orders given to you by the Head Librarians!
2. NEVER be rude to people using our library.
3. Always try to help people using the library as much as possible. If you can't answer someone’s question then find another librarian who can.
4.Always be quite in the library!

Guild QuestsThe Guild Quests are Basically just quests given to guild members who want. Also for completing these quests rewards will be given. The size of the reward depends on the difficulty of the quest.

Goal

To become a great flourishing Kingdom and let the citizens of our kingdom and Yliakum benefit from the Ghi’am-Ko businesses. This is the number one goal that the guild must think about at the moment. When this goal is achieved, depending on how the Kingdom unfolds, new goals will be constructed. Some smaller, shorter-term goals that will help to achieve the main goal are as follows:
--Have a significant number of citizens in the kingdom
--Have a guild government or hierarchy
--Have commerce inside and outside the guild, like shops for guild members only and shops for people outside the guild, run by other guild members
--A work force supplying other guilds and people with goods
--A bank, which would ultimately be the first bank in the history of Yliakum. Here, guild members and non-guild members alike could store items and money safely
--A library to help those who have a thirst for knowledge
--And more...
