you could have a flash animation or something which shows you the different parts of the card when you put the mouse over them ::|

Anyway, i attempted to draw my character.I don't have a scanner so it isn't that clear, but if anyone has photoshop could they see if they can make it neater atall:


(if anyone wants to have a go at colouring it or drawing a better one feel free ;))

Heres my picture...If you want to edit the size or edit the picture be my guest BUT..please make sure the anvil and the whole guy is in the picture. His name is Torik. His father was a famous blacksmith named Gorzhuul. He has black hair. And has a stubborn personality most of the time. I know his arms are a bit blank but i couldnt decide what to draw there.

Some interesting things going on here.  I'm not sure if you plan on actually printing these, but just a little fyi, a decent printer is capable of resolutions beyond 150 dpi (300 dpi on a good photo printer).  If you print at 150 (which is probably the minimum I would use for a decent print) that means it will come out 1/4 the size that you see it in your browser (which is 72 dpi).  What I'm getting at: you might want to make them at twice the current resolution if you plan on printing them.

And in agreement with Inca, a nice pin-stripe border (or something similar) would probably be good to try instead of the current thick wood border.

yea but this will be an IG game so there isnt any movies or tutorials. Its easier just to post a peice of parchment on the wall with some pictures and some writing explaining the rules. Remember....this is gunna be RP based....

I thought this game was not in game......i don't have the greatest short-term memory...

I got started on acouple new backgrounds same text with dark outer glow.  I'm not sure if there needs to be a box/outline around all the diff. numbers and text?


Are these 2 I did going in a better, same, or worse direction?

To make the cards a little more structured and easy to create per dozem I think it is better to add borders and boxes. Perhaps ot is worth it to experiment with bigger cards? let's say... 1.5 times as large as the ones we've been working on. Other then that, the atmosphere on the cards sure does look wonderfull. I just think, wih bigger cards, boxes and borders we can be more clear, and prevent possible misunderstandings.

A little comment about the Fire Glyph card...I don't care about the design, but it's name shouldn't be Fire Glyph. There will be hundreds of spells once the game is finished, and you need to name them all individually instead of just calling the whole bunch "Fire Glyph"

In the art folder, there's a few pictures of all the glyphs, only invintory size, but I'm sure one of those fancy art programs can do something about that. Then name them by their file name (Meteor, Flame Burst, Summon Missile, etc.)

I agree there needs to be diff. spells for each element, I'm sure they will be made with time.  The fire glyph card was more for an example of what's to come I think.

Anyway here's my newest set should be real easy to just type into each box and drop picts in

Lepall.... These are so Great-looking, and Even i can use them.... I basically... LOVE them. My personal favorites by far!!! thanks a lot! Still working on the rules guys! All is going well,  but we came to the balancing part of two decks only... bot an easy task. Next thing is to balance all other cards with the two test-decks, then create a full version of he rule-book, then create a (2-d?) - game board, then about 500 cards and then..... then we can start playing for real  ;D
