The story of a Lich

A long time after inside the forest I stood. I almost collapsed because of all the time I had ran. Next morning I stood up and realised that I had slept under a tree. Not very comfortable but still I felt like I could take care of myself now. For the first time in my life I felt might. “Come on Fayed” a deep voice said. I understood that it was my destiny to meet those two people. “What is that?” he said. “A female enkidukai, “we have not seen many of your kind around here! He glared me in my eyes “what do you want?” “Me? Nothing I just left my home for good” “Oh really!” Maybe I could use her? Ishmael thought. She seems to have a good will. And I can see that she is all alone in the big world. “Do you want to join us?” “We are heading for the city of Nurim” “Nurim? That city. But people told me that it did not exist anymore.” He chuckled “it does, indeed it does!” “I will follow you but can I know your name mine is Cyasnigyn Erethia.” “My name is Ishmael Deverbo the Lich.” I had almost asked him what a Lich was, before I realised that this might not be the right time to ask. When we reached Nurim I saw the city for the first time. It was eclipsed by a dark purple cloud. “What is that is it a cloud?” I asked. “You will find out soon enough my dear Cyasnigyn”. And I found out. When it became night I went to the library. It was enormous! Actually I had never seen a library before, we did not have one in our village. I saw some books in the far corner of the huge room filled with book shelters. Some books seemed to be about the knowledge in the dark arts. There was also a scroll. I picked up the scroll it was so frigid that I almost dropped it. On the header of the scroll there was written “Ritual of Endless Night”

“My love, my love I do you wrong. I can’t live any longer. I had the choice between you and might. I picked the last. I had reed many books about the ritual of endless night. That kind of books was banned long, long time ago. Only in the ruined palace, at the march of Akkaio I found information about the ritual. The reagents needed to mix the potion of blood.

5 fresh hearths
Bone dust from a grave
A half litre of your own blood
20 drops of deep red clacker blood

I all should be quite simple to get, except for the hearths. I must be taken from a human like creature. Enkidukais, elves, ynnwns, humans or diabolis. A soul holder was also needed in order to become a Lich. A soul holder is the artefact that shall hold your soul after your death. I found a good place for hiding my artefact. Inside the orb that is hidden in the highest tower. Now I just have to wait for the next full moon to come.

5 hearths, “I am not sure,” “that” I gasped, “Would make me a cold hearted killer. But I am also scared. I don’t want to die. Because, if I do that I can never realise my dream: becoming the greatest mage of all time. I am already a skilled necromancer trained by Ishmael. He trained me only because he wanted me to be one of his minions. If I became a Lich I think I can defeat him. With help from the forbidden-for-me magic I studied wile he was gone. I already found his artefact hidden inside the orb. The only way I can leave this cursed castle seems to be by granting greater power than he possesses. I must do it.

A week after she had collected what she needed for the ritual of endless night, she knew it would become full moon at this time of the month. Everything was planned carefully. She lifted the poisonous potion up to my mouth. Now the potion was imbued with my dark magic it should work. Just as the books said. If she drank it she would die and reincarnate as a Lich. She looked at the potion it was filled with dark red liquid blood. I could see the moon outside the wide open window. It was the right time “now!” She said to my self she drank the potion as fast as she could it tasted extremely bitter. After a few seconds she could feel that my body burned, burned from the inside. She looked at my self she was engulfed by white flames. She screamed, because the pain hurt so much.

The next day she woke up, my body felt incredibly light. She could feel the magic energy’s rage inside my body. A little girl passed by the room she was located in. She saw me and screamed “a wicked monster, help me someone.” She looked at myself she could only see my bones. Everything else was completely gone. She must have looked frightening, as a walking skeleton would have done. She was now an immortal, an undead, a reanimated body. Unfortunately a guard heard the girl and came for her aid. Promptly she lifted the girl up and threw her out of the window. It was delighting to kill she found out. Suddenly she felt the power rise inside my body. As soon as the guard saw me he ran away. She could hear him telling someone that there was a Lich inside the castle, his voice sounded horrified she twittered, she had to hide myself. A walking skeleton did not seem so normal for ordinary people. She made an illusion of my skin, now she looked as she had done when she was alive.

She jumped out of the window, without getting hurt at all. It was not a good feeling she felt when she hitted the ground. But her body did not get damaged, she only felt a little pain. She knew were the stable was, it had only one horse in it. The other horses were dead cause of lack of food. She sat upon the black horses back and rided in a north direction, were she would end she had no clue.

After some days in the ordinary world, she wished to become a Cleric, a Cleric of the Light. She visited the Temple of the sun, in the village of Nurimino. They told her to visit their master, Nijjininn. Nijjininn gave her a mission, a mission witch were very dangerous. She had to become one of the Dark knights. The temple of the sun once beated those knights, but one of them did not die. Their Captain, Unnown. Unnown recreated the Dark knights. Now the temple of the sun had to be careful, once again. She should become a spy upon the Dark Knights. When she got into their main room, were Unnown was. She told him "I want to join your order". He answered “look into my eyes.” She looked, and saw immediately, that he had guessed what she was up to. ”So you think you are smarter than me?” She felt like the ground under her disappeared. Everything got cold, then hot over and over, and over again. She got thrown into the prison. The only thing she did in the prison was to hate. Hate and study the dark side of magic.

After 20 years the Clerics succeeded to destroy the Dark knights forever. Nurimino came closer to her. "Great job you did, I will give you all the gold in the world." She felt the anger, she was burning, burning from the inside. "You are not an inc better than the dark knights who trapped me inside this cursed tower.” she screamed in a child voice, while she killed him.

She stood over the blood ridden corpse with the deadly blade in her hand, it was purring with extreme dark power. Through the door barged two clerics, one tried to cast a pertification spell at Cyasnigyn but the blade she held simply absorbed the spell, it throbbed with power, then Cyasnigyn simply stepped forward two paces and swiftly slashed at the neck of the nearset cleric she stood as the head slowly slid and fell off his body, the other cleric was petrified, in pure evil and spite she let him go sound the alarm, with one arm and a missing tongue. The sword dhe held was tainting her more than she already was, the power she enjoyed most, the ability to kill those who had betrayed her to the dark knights.

As she walked down the spiralling tower guards of all species came to stop her but to no prevail, they all fell before her daemonic blade, she was cackling and laughing, this of all the things she was doign scared the guards they could not believe she was enjoying this, and enjoying this she was, To kill those she hated more than anything, she loved it.

Well the tooth fairy doesn't exist, but kids aren't doomed, are they? No, because we always tell them they can't see her. So, maybe the wolves are there, but we just can't see them...:O

To my understanding, there is no concept of moon, vampires, or tooth fairies in the Planeshift world.  Except for vague, ancient stories that might have been passed down through an oral tradition dating back to when the races first migrated to the cavern.

Of course, we have a dragon council... a guild which references anubis... and not just a working knowledge of Vodul, but emmissaries from him and people who claim they can summon him... so meh.

It is only peoples imagination that sets the limits...!
As far as i know the place mentioned in peacers story doesnt exist in yliakum.. :I
As far as i know everything you say is something you must forge it doesnt exist by default in yliakum. :I
As far as i know almost every single roleplay has something in it that doesnt exist in Yliakum.
Because how can people pretend that there is a portal inside a BIG rock?
I dont care if it is yliakum history because, as far as i know the portal doesnt work. :)

And most important if suno regin wants to have a toothfairy in the game he can have it..! And if i say vampires exist they exist as long as people believes that they does.

Well, there are a few reasons I disagree.  To me, roleplaying means staying in character, and our characters are dictated first by the planeshift settings and second by how we wish to write our characters.  This discussion has happened before though...

Guys, dont turn it into another Flame war, it happens to often when the topic vampire rises (Darkhaven meh.)

About the story,...

I actually quite enjoyed it, for once not something that burries you under it's enormous weight, but a nice read for a few minutes. However there are a few points that you should consider. At some times the pace of the story accelerates extremly or breaks down, it gives the story a sharp feeling. Some of the paragraphs (actually only the first one) are a bit tough to read, as they tend to be a little long, try to make a few more breaks in the flow of the story.... All in all it is rather enjoyable.

Plakkem hverrjanor are doomed because there doesnt exist wolves in yliakum...

You are correct.  They don't exist in Yliakum as far as anyone knows.  The guild's wolf theme was the result of a vision/dream/hallucination (whatever you want to believe) of one of the founders:

It all started when our guild leader, Tiana, had a dream....
One day, whilst hunting, a storm of God-like magnitude began to roil. Seeking shelter, I found a cave where there was none before. The storm brewed and I slept. In this slumber, a dream or possible vision was presented to me. This vision was of creatures strange to me, yet familiar all at once. The creatures were that of Enkidukais who walked on all fours, but had Ubernaut faces. They called themselves wolves, and said that they were from another plane and time, that was intersecting with my own. The time that I spent with them was enough to fill 5 lifetimes, or so it seemed.

*Key words emphasized*

Good story, Nividia.  It is dark and creepy.  I enjoyed it.   \\o//
