Really nice textureing on that one! And it's always good to make a map of it before you make the 3d model!

Good to see Your works again, Cherppow . Closing of one of Your previous threads caused some thoughts to arise...
That screnshot makes me want to build something again too :).

Which renderloop was used for that scene ? The shadows look too good for standard one.

Hi again,

and thanks for the comments.
To Wired_Crawler: Ah, your stuff I remember. Would be great to see more. Render loop was the standard one. Used 800x600 resolution and lightquality 4, other settings were pretty much the default.

Slowly but steadily the Object lab-smithy gains more form.

Now the first item is also ready; the smithing hammer. The one to create hundreds more. :)

Although I'm not going to post my PS models here, I still needed a place to experiment on new stuff and techniques that are too crude to be implemented into the game. The old object lab wasn't really PS style, thus a project to create new playground got started. I hope to post some of my testings and results here, once the lab is finished.

Nice work! The only thing I see wrong here is the hmm, what's it called...the sink. It's texture is very plain and same as the wall so try adding more of the look you want on that one  :) . The thing I'm amazed at is how good you got the furnace to look.
Planning to make an upper floor?

Oooh, upper floors :D I think you should try some stone in that sink cause it would fit well whewn you have to cool you rwork down and as metal as better warmth-ledaers they easily get hotter then stone.

To Lordbug: Long time no see Lordbug! Nice work! Seeing 3d models always inspires me. Smiley Hmm, what mug icon you mean?
The little mug icon thingy we could put as message icon... I miss it...

And awsome work Cherppow! :D

Oh! I just remembered a question I wanted to ask you!
I have troubles making objects work in planeshift. I wanted to make a staff mod... and it doesn't really work.
I used Blender 2.41, Blender2Crystal 0.5.3, CrystalSpace 099_060127 and Python 2.4.2
I read your tutorial and all but it seems you used a diferent version :(

Wow, Cherppow it sure is clean room for a smithy. Well done. I think of The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind when I look at the smithy lab for some reason.  Cant wait to see what you come up with next.
I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

Maybe, but they're very shy, so domestication wouldn't be easy. In addition it's pretty small animal, so it's uses would be quite limited.
They're like bunnies

@ Lordbug: I thought there already was a working staff mod? It's somewhere on the PS MC forums I think.

And way to go Cherppow! This stuff looks great!!  \\o//

Hey hey!

Thanks for the comments and tips everyone.

To Lordbug: Good that you got the staff working. :) I've been thinking of making a new export tutorial, since they've released new version of the exporter, but I've just not had the time. For Blender -> CrystalSpace export I'd recommend the Blender2Crystal 0.6.0pre5 version. I've been using it for a while and it has worked well, although it's a pre-release. Windows users remember to install Python XML first.

I had quite busy last week, so only little progress on the smithy.

Added detail to barrels and water tank. Also finished the stairs, that now go into still empty second floor.

I like the creature. Looks like something out of MIB.
