I'm pretty good with texturing, if you need help you know where to contact me.

The cart looks really good, Proglin. Even without textures!

About the wooden bars which keep the cloth in the right shape as he roof.
There are 3 of them "U" shaped but upside-down and one at the top which join them all.
The cenral "U" should be lower than the two other and the wooden bar which connect them should touch every of them or go through half of the mesh diameter. Then you can create vertices which will join the "U" shaped bar with the connecting bar, or leave it as it as and while UV mapping, make the texture so that it will hide the unwanted effect as much as it is possible.
There should be eighter rope or something in the texture part which will be at the area where wooden bars are connecting.

And decrease the poly count before you start texturing ;P Of course only if you are going to try it to get it in game.

I guess thats one way of putting it, though I thought it looked pretty good anyways...

* Proglin smiles.

Hey, be as nit picky as possible I'd say :) I'm trying to learn Blender and modling. And a good way to do so is start out making mistakes, such as Nikodemus pointed out, and work on those. The construction and mechanics of a wagon are pretty tough to model straight away, so I altered it slightly in order to simplyfy it as much as I can so I could learn the basics faster. This wagon will end up being deleted and then I'll start over again.

Truth be told, it look great according to me on the pic, but if you see the .blend file you'll go  :'(
It's a mess :D

Continue nitpicking my friends, I learn from it.

two words...

nit picky

Why is it nitpicking?  Niko's comments are constructive and intelligent.  I think you're just trying to cause trouble.

I personaly found them a bit critical obviously... But im not going to go into some huge rant on it because I don't see much of a point in stressing it, you have eyes , read what prog wrote, his thread not mine, and if thats okay then whatever.

Then again I probaly foolishly posted without thinking, i'll  modify? my post. My apologies Nikodemus.

Oh dear, we can't have constructive criticism flying about untethered.

I second zanzibar. Imho there's nothing inflammatory about Niko's apparent helpful feedback.

Feedback is good in any form, it's the way you use it that proves it's usefulness.

* Proglin pushes arguments out of this thread.

Sorry... I see the entire fan art topic as a way for amature artists to improve their skills. I'm happy with whatever argument or critisizm you may have about art, but please keep straying discussions out of here. They will not help any artist.

Agreed. That is pretty darn good for a first timer. Keep up the great work proglin and maybe you could teach me how to start sometime?

As for the WORD nit picking. Who cares who is using it and why? Must we discuss such stupid topics and pollute threads with none sense? This thread is for Proglin and his art, not to discuss how someone should say something to make it so everyone likes it. Get over yourselves.

Added Umbolic now... not much more I want to add to this "to-be-deleted-model"

then I'll go and REALLY learn how to texture poperly.

and then create a better version all over again.

*edit: And create a smaller pic :S
