How many people play Planeshift?

Just curious how populated the world actually is?    Last night was my first time playing, and the answer to most of the question on this forum is "ask others in the game for help"... but I literally only saw about 3 or 4 other people the whole time I played last night.    Makes asking others kinda tough :)

Ya think? I normally see up to 10 people in Hydlaa, sometimes even more. You'll just have to play during the evenings, that's when there's the most activity and biggest chance to be helped.

A small tip:
You can type  "/who"  in the chat box and see how many people are playing at any given time.

Most time between 80 and 150 people are online.
You can check out http://laanx.fragnetics.com/index.php?page=char_stats to see who and how much players are online.

the other messure is that there are ~17000 windows clients downloaded. and ~20000 in process of being downloaded.

and ~ 2400 linux clients downloaded with another ~1300 on the way

and ~300 mac clients downloaded with another 300 on the way

so about 20000 active clients and 21000 more on the way

well since i'm here i'll update the numbers
21k downloaded and 24k in process for the win client
2700 down and 1600 in process for the lin client
and about 400 both for the mac client
so over 25000 clients down and another 26000 on the way.

hmm an aditional 10000 interested parties in about 2 weeks.  \\o//

crunches on some growth rate numbers.  :o :o :o umm. -394 ... can't be right.

and to answer the question reading off of the peers list in my torrent client. so it doesn't count http downloads.

Quick Question. What about Net bandwith for the servers and all ? How does it work with (hopefully) so many players ?

the server handles it pretty well. when xillix(sp) made her announcement the server surviced quite well. a fair bit of graphicall lag, bu t that is client side.

Hehe, we've got an enkidukai on our hands :P

There are two cities so far, Eachann, and most people are in Hydlaa whereas you are in Oja, atleast, that is my guess.
