Anyone bored about PS
« on: June 12, 2006, 04:49:59 pm »
I'v played planeshift since the beggining and It's now starting to get old trying to find new quest and things too do. I think they should start to focuse not on graphics but more gameplay, anyone think so?

You mean with.

Focus has no 'e' and that should be 'quests'. Many parts of the game still hold my interest.

* Syilph looks at the number of posts "Hmm... seven.".
* Syilph wonders what does "begining" mean
Since the begining of what? Since the begining of the day?
Relax and keep trying then ;)

hmmm well mentioned before I thought the devs are sometime looking to much from a gamemechanic view instead of from an RP point of view, but not getting bored myself yet. ;)

Just started an alt and RPwise it's definately another side that I played before and also training other stuff to make even more of a difference.

Plenty to do. Specially RP is endless. With the right people granted ;)

:) I think everyone in PS goes through boredom at on point or another with anything really. Take a break for abit is one option. The other is to come up with roleplay as others suggested. Create something that you can involve others in or join into another persons roleplay. Though that might take some time in finding some who is having a roleplay but that in it's self can keep you busy.
I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

I often get bored too, and I just take breaks from the game, play other games, stuff like that. My breaks often last at least a month before i decide to come back. By then, much can have been changed, meaning more to do. And for an RP excuse I say I was in private training.

From the sound of your post I'd say you're playing PS as a single player game, maybe you should try to explore the multiplayer aspect of it more and interact with other players. Join the community, join a guild or maybe even create one of your own. There is a whole lot more to PS than exploring, quests, mining or fighting.

Well, I got tired myself for a while. It's true that after digging a lot and getting frustrated for not being able to solve the quests can be stressing. I was online almost 7 hours per day... :) But if you feel bored, them you should try roleplaying, or even aply for developer! Maybe when you start helping to develop the game you will feel much more apetite for it! ;)

P.S.: By the way, Drey, it's not very nice to just comment by correcting the english of someone. Remember there are tons of people in this forum that do not have english as their main language (as myself). And your post is somewhat rude to me, who often mispell too. I do not believe the original post was made to offend anyone. And usually, correcting spelling is something people do when they don't have anything more important to say.

You are free to express your opinions! Please do! :)

Just please do not do it by correcting spelling! That is not an opinion and if affects other people who feel ashamed enough not to post again in fear the spelling police will come to hunt you...  :'( Please?

:)

That's just the way Drey is. Trying to change him is trying to move mountains ;D

What do you mean by "gameplay," Vazura? I think I can assure you that a lot of work has been and still is being done - maybe not as fast as everyone would want, but I'm sure that we are all very understanding due to the nature of this project. Besides, there are artists on the team who need something to do - so graphics will always be worked on :}

With so much going on in PS I usually take a break to get away from all the running around!!  ;D

After both the last two big rps Anfa took a trip to the Wyldewood to vacation. Introduce a new char and see the world from a different point of view...

I would suggest if not joining a guild, at least become close to a few of them. There are always things going on within and around the guilds that you could probably join in on!!

People always say roleplay to people who are bored with the game. I roleplay all the time, and even I get bored. I make about 7 alts, each with their own personality, quest, object, looks, everything, but it just gets so boring. I have no feel for the game, like I have no personality and am just acting. I can't get in sync with my characters, because half the things I may want to say or talk about never existed. I have to do so much studying on the history, and on what may or may not be in Yliakum. It takes a lot more work to roleplay than people may think, and to me after doing this with 7 characters, I'm tired of it. That's why I hope to apply for the GM team, to do more than just roleplay, I can give others tips, or maybe teach someone the game basics. Setup real events instead of ones that people never pay attention to, etc.

You're right about that. I think setting up cool events and have lots of people RP with you is really cool, but only so much people can be GM's.
