I'd like to pose a petition here. I'd like any of the old guys who knew Sirunie Looseye and would like to have him back in Planeshift. I already have myself and Constrabus. Please keep negative comments about Sirunie out of this forum. I'd like to also give him a 'Welcome Back' party if I manage to get him to come back, and I'd like all the old players who can to be there. So please post here to give your support and such.

Thank you,
Farren Kutter aka The Master Ranger

I think that if Sirunie stopped enjoying Planeshift, then he should be allowed a clean break.  The mellowdrama and corruption that grew within the upper ranks of the Guild Knights was really unfortunate, and I don't blame him for leaving.  Thinking about it though, I find it odd that he hasn't made the odd appearance.  Even Anthony and Karsier have been around more often than Sirunie.

:) Sirunie made a statement in his guild forums and to his close friends that he was leaving planeshift until it became more stable. As at the time the klyros was having issues walking and such. He also got tired of all the server crashes and the NPC's being impervious for that long length of time. (I think it was about three weeks the NPC's were down)  He was also bored as there wasn't much for him to do and he took himself and a couple of other close friends and started a new guild in a new game. He didn't leave because of the guild "mellowdrama and corruption" as the guild privileges to invite were taken away from the lower guild members. That was why the guild knights were mass producing.

Those reasons were a part of it, but it wasn't the only thing on his mind.  I know what Sirunie said to the Guild Knights when he left.

You're forgetting that my character was very high up in the ranks of his guild, so I do have some insight into what happened.

The Guild Knights were meant to be a mass recruiting guild.  It was not a mistake.  Things changed because Game Masters were complaining to Sirunie about new players who were in the guild and misbehaving.

Doesn't make sense to me as he left at least a couple of months after this whole recruite issue with guild. I didn't know you were in high ranks with the guild knights, so I didn't forget anything.  :) I guess we will never know until Siruine himself tells us. I read his reasons on the guild forums, that as far as I am concerned are his reasons for leaving otherwise he would have told me and others different. If he didn't tell the reasons you know of to me or anyone else, I am thinking it is because he didn't want the general public to know.

Besides this thread isn't about why he left anyway, it is about bringing him back for a visit.

Sirunie quit for two reasons, and one of them is more prominent.

#1 - Burules left PS
#2 - Bugs

Burules leaving is the main reason, and the drama thing is a load of crap ;)

And if any of you wish to contact Sirunie, PM me, I'll give you his e-mail address (not openly on forums since i don't want those forum-surfing spammers to get a hold of his e-mail address and spam him to death :P). We used to be good friends - so just trust me when I say that he would enjoy coming back if he knows a lot of people miss him. And I speak to Burules on a regular basis as well, and he's already told me he'll probably visit next week since he is a bit busy til then.

I remember Burules.  He was a good guy.

I think it would be great if Sirunie came back.  I'm just saying that I'd understand if he doesn't want to come back.

Then we are of the same mind Zanzibar, and there should be no argument... I am not going to fly over to Australia, somehow find out his real name, find out where he lives, travel there and use a whip to make him come back... If in the end he says no, then I'll say I tried my best, couldn't get him, and we'll all go back to our lives.

Sirunie was my mentor and lord who I served without question.  He, Constrabus, Thalanx & I would all talk on TeamSpeak for hours on end.

He left because he felt there were too many bugs, not enough to do, and there was strife within his guild.  If he came back (hopefull when he comes back), he'll be in horror because all his weapons will be gone...
