Skins help?

i bet this has been posted... dont yell because i dont know what exactly i should search under... well anywho...

the skins are messing up... it said Run Updater to fix but that didnt help...

i tried to get more shots but when i have text in the box it stays like this but when there is no text in the box<in the part you type in> then it goes crazy and shows wireframes and stuff... and i bet it will be the easiest solution and im gonna feel stupid but oh well...

It looks like an issue with your graphics card drivers - are they updated?

Can you post more details on your system in general, and whether you've compiled or installed a binary release?

well i found a post and i just remembered that since i had to reinstall windows i had to update my driver and now it should work lol im about to try it


EDIT!: No updating drivers didnt help...

System:
Graphics: GeForce 5500
What else do you need... Internet Connection? DSL 362K  Ram? 768<yes odd number...> um...
whats the Binary Release?

well it made it freakishly small but it says...   crystalspace.graphics3d.shadercompiler.xmlshader:

EDIT AGAIN!: i just tried to play it and it said that it could not load character controller and that one or more widgets failed to load...  wow... i got the bad end of the DL i guess...

Could it be that you have the CRYSTAL environment value set?

What is that? where do i check that? it isnt in the setup...

 BTW on that edit up there... its couldnt Initialize Character Controller and for the widgets it said check my logs...

Well, then probably not

If you have installed CrystalSpace libraries on your PC, then the CRYSTAL environment value would be set to these libraries. Planeshift reads the CRYSTAL environment value and tries to use the CrystalSpace libraries that you have installed, which usually ends up with strange results. For me everything looked the same than on your screenshots.

well... im lost... i know what you said... but if it doesnt come with the game <or the updator> then i dont have it...


EDIT!!!!!!!:::: I just ran the updater and it found nothing then i clicked run PS <the one in the updater> and now i have the beggining sound and that little text thing at the top isnt there im gonna check and see if the skins are good now!

EDIT!!! THEY WORK!!! WOOO!!! i wonder what was wrong... because i ran the updater like 5 times then just tried the Launch Plane Shift from the updater and it works... strange...

Triple Edit: i just tried to run PS from the shortcut i have and it didnt work... hmmm idea

Edit: strange... it is the ShortCut that is doing it... hmmmm

Edit: i remade the shortcut and it works... but my weapons are gone

There has been a weapons wipe that got rid of all weapons with a /slash above 10.
