Er... Not Launching :\

Sorry bout this. I read that thing, and didn't get a word of it. I think something about downloading that Java thing and then putting it in your PlaneShift Folder... But it says modification of blah blah impossible. So yeah, I can't delete or do anything in that folder either... Soo....

What happens is, I click on the application... It bounces a couple times, and then starts... And right when you think Planeshift's gonna open, it says the application has unexpectedly quit. So, I'm in quite a pickle here, not knowing crap about Macs and wanting to play this game. ><

So, sorry about not understanding that stuff.... Er... Help?

Oops. I guess in my haste to try out this game, I wasn't reading correctly. From what I'm getting, it wont work for 10.2.8. *sigh*

im running OS 10.3.9 on a 1.8GHz imac G5 and im having the exact same problem.  the client, setup and updater all behave as mentioned above. i downloaded the other (old) updater, which worked, and it updated and it now says that all files are up to date.  when launching the client a blank screen with a title bar saying its planeshift cyrstal blue (0.3.014). this screen stays on for about 10 sec. then , as is the case for all 3 files, it "unexpectedly quit."
maybe ive missed the answer to this somewhere in the forum so i will continue looking untill this receives a reply.  thanks.

I have delete the Planshift directory.

/Applications/Utility/Terminal
sudo rm -rf /Applcations/PlaneShift_Directory

Re-Download the 0.3.13 version and install

Stop the save power management (Control Panel)

Start the updater

Normaly that work

i gave up wating for this game to work on OS X 10.2.8. i cant update to anothe version of OS X for one i dont have the money and 2 games in a newer OS run slower on this machine. i was really looking forward to play this game again. but i gave up on it and moved on
