its fine as it is, as for suiciding just to get back to towns, that is just pathetic and you should be shot.
Move all the people to Hydlaa?
Yes ok i have a better idea for you, how about we just get everything into the plaza, put up some cages marked with different animals, put all animals in there, like cages saying "Rogue, weak with uber l337 loot". Put all the trainers in one building and name it "PL HQ". Delete all the other areas and just say that Hydlaa was seperated from the rest of Yliakum by an uber PLer while killing an ulber or something.

There you go, running solved, or maybe there should be a fountain of PL? that fires PP at you.??
Maybe thinking before you suggest things is wise??

Sorry if this post has offended anyone, but it just highlights the stupidity of this topic.

I don’t know about you but I have heard this many times;
” I’ll be right back I have to go to the Death Realm to sell my stuff”
The Death Realm is where you go when you are killed; it shouldn’t be a shortcut to sell stuff. I don’t know if the people who do this don’t know where the shops are that buy there loot, or they are just too lazy to go to the proper shop...

well i type /die all the time now to sell my animal bits.

frankly in this game finding merchants is a bore...and involves little intuition.

...i roamed all through the place where the guys who buy animal parts allegedly were located and still haven't found them...i like to find things on my own so haven't actively asked anyone in-game yet to direct me to them, yet it seems like the only way to find anything in this game cos nothing actually makes sense or is easy to find.

i mean - why would there be merchants in an arena who want to buy rat tails off ya - in my way of thinking that guy at the magic shop or the potion shop chicky would be wanting such ingredients.

not some people in a fighting place.

Maybe if there was a good trainingspot between Akkaio and Hydlaa, DR will become much more quiet. Walk the full Ojaroad takes about 10 minutes, so if you place an Arena or something half the way, it'll be just 5 minutes walking, which is faster than through DR. And people have to do something over there...

Last point: the DR will always be a popular place, how dangerous and long the road back to life will be...

10 minutes of walking? Why don't you run? :P It takes me less than 5 that way... I don't understand this at all.

Besides, this isn't a "fight-train-sell" game.

It's just my 2 cents, but I don't think that making harder or dangerous the DR would be the perfect soultion of all issues.
For example yesterday I got the "pitch-black-pit bug" 2 times trying to descend into laanx dungeon (I often descend there
with more than 60% health) and I don't think the frustration of a dangerous DR would solve anything.

There could be some other, better solution for this issue. One may be "moving" the DR return place (actually Hydlla and Oja)
randomly , so peoples not knowing where they will re-birth, can't use DR as a "shortcut".
Another way (not much original, I know) is givin some kind of maluses after returning from DR. For any player the deads in the last 2 hours
are counted, and the maluses increase with counter until you don't stay out from DR for 2-3 consecutive hours, then the counter is reset to 0.

I would like to remember that actually there isn't a way to resurrrect players dead in a group, and this is IMHO the biggest cause for which
DR should stay as it is...... [yes, even the best player could die for a bit of lag, in certain situations, IMHO ]

I don't think that we should be angry at people for taking advantage of the death realm.  In time it will expand and then the people will have to learn to find the stores instead.  In the mean time it really isn't their fault that it is easier to die to sell your goods instead of traveling so far say from the Plaza all the way to Oja.  Many weaker characters logically choose to die instead of making the long treck because they are eager to lvl up and such, a reasonable attitude for newbies to have considering how powerful many opponents are.

I also think that the Death Guardian should stay there and buy certain things.  For example, I will be fighting along the plains areas on Oja road and get attacked and killed by some monster stronger than me while I have a ton of animal parts I looted and then when I get to the DR, the only thing that helps make up for getting beat to a pulp before getting to Oja to sell Telf skins is the ability to sell the other things I've looted.  Why should people that don't take advantage be punished?

This shouldn't be seen as a great problem imho.  The DR will eventually expand and that will discourage people from doing so.  If they still want to do that, why should we be angry because it will be just as hard if not harder to go the DR route.

Later on, the DR will become much bigger, much more confusing, and much, much more dangerous. As of now, the DR is kinda small, a.. inconvinience. Certainly it'll get big enough to discourage suicide.

how can a realm of death be dangerous? i mean, how can you die in death?

Thats what everyone did the first time DR changed.  I was "alive" when I entered, but I couldn't find anyone. Turned out everyone was congregating in DR.  Most of us actually couldn't figure it out to begin with.  :P If they expand the death realm again, Hydlaa might just loose their entire population to it.  ;D

alot of peopel do use it as a shortcut, and its.. lazy, but who am i to judge? personly, i end up there more times than i care to metion, and not deliberatly either. if it were harder to get out of, id rip my hair out. as it is, i often die wwhile in there, becuse im in too much of a hurry to escape, haha.
i think the spawning in a new random area is a great idea tho. it would definatly discourage the 'shortcutters' without making things difficult to those of us who happen to fall down the stairs alot. ;D
a person is only as good as their word. they should give it sparingly, and adhere to it like iron.

Think like this: can you imagine a world where you could just walk ramdomly and find anything you were suppose to be searching for? I mean, "the only way to find anything in" real life is through information that you get from others, even if it is a map or a guide, but not by "intuition". I can imagine all that talk about "but PS should not be like real life" coming and well, know what? I think that some reality factor in PS is extremely necessary, why? Because usually (but not always) people say this to justify lazyness to overcome difficulties, ignore the settings and common sense in roleplay or just childish manners.

i mean - why would there be merchants in an arena who want to buy rat tails off ya (...)

If you've cared to know what's the merchant in arena's activity you'd know the answer to that.
