Kiern, Nintendo is right about one thing: game publishers force developpers to make crappy games cause of license or game sequels that are nothing more then the same game with slightly better graphics and new levels (which I must add are made of identical boxes and walls with different textures). Only a few developpers stand out, offering fresh experiences.
That being said, I also, would like to have complex games (RPGs, open-ended gameplay etc.) alongside the simple yet addictive and fun ones.
