P.U.B.S Auction House

     Please see the announcement on the Hydlaa Message Board for theIC portion of this message.  Proglin and I have formed a new business called P.U.B.S. Auction House. We will be holding auctions on the first Friday, and the third Wednesday of every month at 2200GMT.  If they become popular or we receive more items than can reasonably handled with only two auctions a month, they may become more frequent.
     Anyone wishing to enter items into our auctions can give them to either Proglin or myself.  Our fee will come off the sale price of your items and you will receive payment for them after the auction.  Any items that do not sell will be returned or entered into the next auction, as each customer wants.  To ensure the best possibility of your items entering the next auction, please try to get them in as soon as possible.

     
The Rules
     (1)  These auctions are all In Chararcter. There will be no discussion in open chat about slash, speed, etc.  Anyone disrupting the RP will not be allowed to participate in the auctions.  If you must know the stats of the weapon, use /tell with either Proglin or myself....it might be better to ask the one that is not the auctioneer that day to get a quicker response.
     (2)  Anyone caught trying to bid falsely to inflate the price of their item, or getting someone else to do it for them will forfeit their item, and will be banned from participating in any further auctions.
     (3)  Only bids heard in the /auction channel will be recognized.
     (4)  If someone bids on an item and it is found that they do not have the funds to cover their bid, the current bid will be set to the first bid before said person started bidding. 

Ex. Player 1 bids 500
Player 2 bids 600
Scammer bids 650
Player 1 bids 700
Player 2 bids 1000
Scammer bids 1500
No further bids, scammer wins the auction and declares he doesn't want the item or he has no funds.
The current bid will be reduced to Player 2's 600 and bidding will re-commence from there with anything being said by Scammer ignored.

     (5)  RP is of utmost importance to us during these auctions, so stay in character at all times!

  Our timing is a little off this month so our first auction will be held on Wednesday June 28th at 2200GMT. Starting in July they will be held on the first Friday and the third Wednesday, as stated above.

Any questions or comments may be directed to Proglin or Bodacher, preferably in-game.

next auction is wednsday, if the client still ain't out there when is it goign to be :)?

Well it looks like we won't be able to hold the first auction in June....YAY for the update! :)

We'll just scrap the original plans for the first auction and begin things in July on the schedule set out in my first post here....
That means the first auction will be on Friday, July 7 at 2200 GMT.

[ EDIT:  Proglin and I are both in game, but not everyone is so lucky.  To ensure that we get the best possible turnout for the first auction, we will delay it for another week, holding it on Friday, July 14 at 2200 GMT.

Ladies and gentleman! Time has come for the2nd P.U.B.S. auction to begin! It will be held next Thursday the 27th at 2200 GMT! this time we will guarantee a Silverweave Short Sword, and many many more priceless weapons! Collectors items and nice goodies! See you all at the plaza!

on topic:  This sounds like a whole lot of fun.  Can you give us a sneak preview of what are going to be auctioned?

We much prefer that people come to the auction and be surprised and amazed by our terrific selection of quality goods!
However, we have been collecting some fine weapons lately and as Proglin said there will be at least one Silverweave Short Sword in the next auction....Dagger users might find something interesting as well...

So should I assume it's cancelled since the server is being rebuilt? Any idea when it will be rescheduled to?

can we just say it will be as soon as the server is back up? i really wanna go and if its tomorrow i cant. assuming the server will be back up later today.
