Race's future potential?

Though it isnt for this moment, in the not all that distant future, race limits and specific characteristics that are specific only to certain races will be implemented, so the question is, in the end, will all the Races in Planeshift have equal potential?

Given other races special characteristics when they are implemented, such as Kran's built in armor,
and the amount of power levelers in game, do you think an ability such a simple swimming or gliding will really level out with the weaknesses that come with it (with Klyros, for example)? Basically, do you all think that in the end the characters will be evenly matched with equal potentional for combat, roleplaying, ect?

Well, theoretically it'll be balanced such that all races/clans have the same overal potential but in different areas.

Well, if a kran can't catch a klyros to hit it, what use does its strength have?perhaps klyros will be able to be potentially faster than a kran ever can? and if it takes off, it can possibly shoot arrows form the sky, meaning if it is an excellent archer, it can take down the kran.

but that can work both ways so that if someone is a good archer they could shoot down a klyros from the sky because they are much easier targets when in midair. also, i dont think a klyros can just jump up and start flying. you have to just off of something and start gliding is what ive heard. and do you really think that you could shoot a moving target while you are gliding through the air and have it do much damage?

lol ryvis every class can swim, its just that klyros can breathe underwater

What I meant is, that Krylos are faster in all 3 elements.. and could out-run / swim / fly anyone.

They are all good points really, not to mention assassin chars will be AWESOME. It will be very interesting mixing it up with the new chracteristics someday.

well... Since Klyros are born with wings and live their lives with wings, they can most certainly do it... You are taking the idea from a human perspective

Has everyone forgotten something? There's more to it than races, there are family backgrounds as well. Say, if your mother was Enkidukai, and your father was Klyros, what would happen? Mixed characteristics.

It would be nice if the Enki were able to jump/fall further than other races without suffering so much damage... being pussy cats and all.

Suno, DaveG mentioned this before - there are no hybrids. The children of two races take on the appearance of either the father or the mother.

Erm... I don't know if, since they are completely different creatures, the klyros and enkidukai are even compatible in that way... I mean, try having a lizard and a cat breed, see how that works
