new noob question
« on: July 03, 2006, 06:21:28 pm »
 hi all
just wondering, I dont have to join a guild do I?
I can RP my character (havent decided on race yet) on my own. Say like the character is some sort of outcast and nobody will have anything to do with him if they can avoid it.
Cant wait to try game, reading some of the posts server is being updated or something.
I'll keep trying every few days then.
thanks :)

Of course you can play your charakter as you like and you don't have to join a guild, there are many players which are not a member of a guild.

It can make it more fun being in a guild though, one of the best things i discovered in the week iv played is that the community is one of PS's main plus points.
Nothing stopping you from doing your own thing. (within reason i guess :))

I agree, Plane Shift is quite a good game in terms of roleplay, because the developpers and mods enforce it. Theres a bunch of RPGs out there that dont really feel like your character is more than just an average person without a background.

And yes, the community is one of the good things about this game, as most people are polite and helpful.

And don't forget that this game is only in its early alpha stages, so there are many things to be improved/added

EDIT:Also, a guild is great, because they can help you with the game, and they are just great to talk to while you play. I'm part of a secret guild, so I won't say much about it, but I can say one thing, it makes the game better.
