Over lapping in inventory of the smae weapons is not allowed?

Two molted irons, exactly the same in every way, even quality... when i drag one on top of the other, they don't go into the same slot, am i the only person with this problem?

::if this was already brought up, then close this or something  ::

I had the same thing with bread and a few other things.
I guess its old vs new. I had an old tef skin and a new one they would not stak, but after a sold the old one, all new ones stack fine.

All great truthes begin as blasphemies- SHAW

I bought new battle axes recently,: they wont stack
I mined new iron ores and melted them down: but they wont stack
I looted mutiple tefusang claws: and they wont stack
I have mined mutiple gold ores: and they wont stack

none of these are from the older version either.

Could that be that items that have diferent quality values cannot stack ?

If that is the problem, we gonna have a problem of inventory slots lack...

It looks like each time server crash, new objects won't stack with the same objects that are from previous "server session".
Just experienced it :

Looted a bunch of bread and healing potion from a rogue (they were showing 50/50 quality).
Server crashed.
I rejoin.
Bread and potions from previous session change to 10/50 quality.
The new one i loot then start to stack in another slot.

look like it's related to the other problem Ii reported here.

no because when I molted 10 irons down they were all in the same server session, and still they wouldn't stack

yes I am having he same problem with stacking items in my inventory.   It will make picking up stuff much harder.   Players are dropping
loot all over the place which I hear creates lag in the game.      So the new inventory situation will cuase an increase in lag.  I pick up stuff quite a bit and sell the stuff.  that includes apples, bread and fish.   I know others do the same.

Yes, I pick up stuff on the ground or 'hidden' in the landscape whenever and where ever I find it...

With stuff not stacking in inventory, I find that is the case for the same stuff but from different spawns... but that logging out and returning a long time later, the quality has reached a level that's the same for all, and I can then Click-Drag them to stack in a single slot in the Inventory. This doesn't resolve like that everytime, though.

- running PlaneShift Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11) Client, on an Apple iMac G5 2GHz PowerPC processor, 2GB DDR SDRAM, an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card with 128MB VRAM, a 20-inch active-matrix LCD widescreen display, and a 250GB Serial ATA hard drive... so what's your excuse, huh?

yeah ii have been having that problem, and i also have been able to stack them after a day or two when the quality matches, but not always
a person is only as good as their word. they should give it sparingly, and adhere to it like iron.
