Take a look at the PlaneShift Setup.

I would definitely not recommend playing PlaneShift in fullscreen!

Reason:

When the client crashes, and an error dialog is shown, you may not be able to see this dialog, and not be able to decide which button to click then.

i wouldnt want it in fullscreen either. I have a dual monitor setup and not having it fullscreen allows you to surf these forums and lookup and submit error reports while the game is still running(when i finally get around to it)

We, Linux freaks, have handy key combination switching between full screen and window: Alt+Enter :P Does it work in windows too ?

it does, but it is a waste of time to press 2 buttons just so you can access the other screen.

This is not to get to full screen, you do that in your game setup utility, it is in your Start..  All programs.. Planshift Crystal Blue, Planeshift Setup, but.... I have a wide screen monitor.  The installation I did sets the program to operate in a locked normal window. I order to get it to operate with the screen filled , I right clicked on the shortcut (icon), selected properties, and set run: to maximized rather than normal. /me stops a moment to catch breath. So it isn't full screen, it is a filled screen! See you all in-game! Enjoy and play safe!

Welcome to the PlaneShift board.

You mean - execute the PlaneShift client (psclient.exe) in a window which is maximised to the desktop dimensions? ... Clever idea!  This way you won't miss the error messages, and don't lose much of the desktop resolution.

Furthermore, you can set up almost any arbitrary window size; just subtract the sizes of the window frame and title.

I know a few graphic cards which are able to completely own the desktop and not show any task bar while showing a fullscreen game. I could not even kill a locked game. The only way back to the usual desktop was switching a DOS box to full screen and back (which I blindly called).

I almost always run full screen (WinXP SP2).  When i get an error i simply alt tab out, or if worst comes to worst i ctrl+alt+delete and minimize from here, or kill PS.
