error at 695C7370 + random crashing

Edit: Was able in install new drivers, but read my latest post, the game still wont work.


  I had been crashing from an error with the code 695C7370, some times before i even got into the character select screen, sometimes when i was already in game, so I reinstalled the client.

I did try searching for this error code, but couldn't find it mentioned.

After this however, after less then a minute of playing the game would simply exit abruptly, but with no error code at all.  Does anyone know what is going on or how to fix this?  I doubt its related, but i was also having some graphical errors:

I tried updating the graphics drivers...that didnt work to well, something must really be wrong,as my computer failed to even boot up (hung at the "Windows is starting up" screen), so im currently in safe mode (with networking).  Besides rolling back the drivers, which im about to do, any more suggestions?  Thanks

may sound odd, but i have had similar problems with my petition reading window and running the game from comannd prompt helped :p

Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem still persisted, any more ideas? Or speaking of the command line, maybee there are certain command line switches or parameters that will help?

Oh,and also, I just got that origional error code again, so reinstalling the client didnt fix that unfourtunatlly.

Did you make sure to uninstall the old driver before installing the new one?  Recommend uninstall, restart, then install the new graphics driver.  Also, make sure that you have the correct driver for your operating system.  There are a lot of different drivers out there and it is easy to get mixed up.  I have done it myself.

Second, if you have an older video card the newest drivers may not work for you.  Or there is an option somewhere that is too advanced for you video card and you will need to disable it.

I've had the same problem once when I tried to install a new graphics card driver - Windows failed to boot up, and Safe Mode was my only option. There's a slight chance the card itself is faulty, but if you can you should make sure that it's firmly seated within the case. Always uninstall previous drivers before installing new, and I've had some luck with modified/optimized drivers instead of using the official ones sometimes.

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I did uninstall the old drivers and reinstall the new ones however (and I am sure it was for the correct OS, windows XP (home)).

I cant make sure the card is in properly, because i dont have a separate video card, the graphics are integrated into the motherboard.  That may seem like the problem, yet I was able to play fine before this last update (which I really would like to see ).  Any other ideas?

Oops, I didn't see the integrated part in your first post. My mistake. Have you managed to make Windows run normally with updated drivers right now, or is it still a problem? Have you tried running psclient from the command-line as well?

Nope, windows wouldn't run at all, I had to roll back to the previous drivers (version 61).  Also, the problem persisted when i tried to run from the command line  (both the odd graphics issues and the crashing bug).

(Also, does anyone know more about the error code? I'm not conerned with the graphic issue nearly as much as the crashing issue (although they could be related).).

Although i had uninstalled the old drivers, there was even an older set from a long time ago, so i uninstalled them, and the ones i have been using, and installed the newest ones, linked above.  The operating system did boot with these (yay), yet now however i have exactly the same problem as the person in http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=24295.0  except that all of the color are inverted for me, in comparison to theres.

Now what i wounder?

I was able to start planeshift with the -console switch, and saved the output to a log file using the command: "psclient.exe/-console>consolelog.log" exactlly as that appears, without the quotes,and with that slash, this is the file, any help? (I reinstalled the old drivers to be able to play the game)
