A couple problems with new client.
« on: July 08, 2006, 09:45:45 pm »
These are probably the most serious problems that i'm getting with the new client.

as everyone knows, the crashing.

Then, magic does not work in challenges.  It will say that the person you challenged is not living and you can only cast blah blah blah on living creatures.

the worst problem.  I have about 10-15 psclient.exe were running in the back ground of my computer.  Has this always happened? I just noticed it this time. I had to cancel all the processes called it.  And recover mode for updater, is still running from two days ago.  I havn't seen any backfall in the performance of my computer though, which is strange, because my CPU Usage is at 100% because of all of those.  I'm glad i found it, because it still might overheat my CPU. But i just wanted to let you guys know.  It may be a problem for other  people.

I've just now noticed that psclient.exe is still running in my processes after exiting. I'm not sure I saw this mentioned before - but we really don't need a "recap" on everything else, as they are common and well-known problems. "It's crashing" isn't a useful report :P

Why have you had the updater running, however? A mistake?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

lol, i was just adding in the problems, i didn't mean to start and new conversation about it.

as with the updater, i ran it to see if the crash bug was fixed yet.  (I know, i'm expecting too much)  The regular updater worked fine, i believe its the recovery mode which never showed up at all.  I'm fairly sure that the psclient.exe part of my message wasn't talked about before.  Since i have never had this problem before, but i might be wrong.
