Melting
« on: July 10, 2006, 06:12:52 am »
I have a problem understanding the whole melting process. One person was kind enough to kinda explain but it didn't make sense. Then every other person i asked (later on) were asses and completely ignored me! is there anyone that can explain how to melt without turning everything to ash?!

Not that I've tried blacksmithing... but perhaps I can answer your question.

There is a chance that perhaps you don't have any skill ( 0 level) in the required skill (that a blacksmith has to teach you) so everytime you put something into a furnace it gets reduced to ashes.

Also, perhaps you've the skill indeed, in that case, keep in mind that leaving the iron ore too much time into the furnace, will turn it into ashes. When it becomes molten iron, you're supposed to remove it from the furnace, I think the next step is stock casting, but it seems that blacksmithing is giving some issues right now, so I don't know if this last step could be done.
Are there any MoonSeekers left?

1. Harnquiest will teach me? What skill do I need to learn, what I've heard was metallurgy.
2. For me it didn't turn into molten, it was iron ore than it became ash.
Thanks for your help.

I do beleve that in order to use a skill, you need to train it to at least lvl 1 befor you can use it.  Time to start investing points.  X-/

Thanks for the tip, although I think when I went to train for metallurgy it said you can train any more, I give it one more try.

the "mind" slot in your inventory is there for certain items to be equiped and you might have that item already, work around that  ;)
