I chose rangers, because in almost any game i play, i am an elven ranger, i myself love nature, so its a little bit of RL in the game, but then again i could choose a druid since i was once one. I tend to like rangers because they have a high number of attacks, dont take dual weapon penalties(they do but at a smaller amount), and have animla companions. This is all from DnD, and im not sure how much translates into PS, but thats my main reasons, ive already made the topic in the guild forum, just need 5 peiople before its made in gmae

You will probably miss most of such rules in PlaneShift.

On one hand, because PlaneShift shall not be like other games.

On the other hand, because the development is just not as detailed as necessary to implement such fine rules. There is no dual-weapon penalty, the opposite is true at the moment. Furthermore, there are no ranged weapons yet (although someone seems to work on it seriously).

And well, as I already said ... there is rarely a real need for just one more guild. We already have rangers, or nature respecting guilds. And even if you find 5 members today - you will need to keep at least 5 members over a remarkable duration, but people tend to change their opinion

That is true, i believe that when PS is finished, it will wipe the floor with most other MMORPGs, one of my favorite things about PS other than being cross-platform, is the graphics. Even at this stage, they are breathtaking. And as with other great things, a great community always makes things better.

Can you suggest a good nature guild, one that has a good backstory and plenty of members? I did a little searching, but didnt find too much.

There is  always room for more guilds, it wont matter if you have the same type of goals as other guilds, you will grow and change and become slightly different. so I say go for it and good luck.

LigH that's what happened to Ruby.   smiles.
Glad to help.

I say it's all up to you. Although the goals may be similar to other guilds, the backstory is probably different, though most of all, the members. I find that what makes a guild in any game are the members. If your guild has a great background but annoying, unfriendly members, there is no point in maintaining it. On the other hand, if you have a bad story for it, but awesome members, then I say it more than compensates.

In another MMORPG I play, I was in a guild who's members where very friendly, and helpful. After a while I became good friends with the guild leader, and had a few good occasions to show that I would help him. Now, unfortunately, things have changed. A rather large guild with over 200 members created a branch for us, and those of us who still play switched to that branch. Now things are very different... At least I'm still friends with the guild leader.
